Great post and very well explained! I think the change is fair and needed, Splinterlands is still a great game and fun to play and those who invest in it more heavily deserve to be rewarded. I really do hope that the game can turn things around and take advantage of the upcoming alt season.
It was Splinterlands that introduced me to Hive in the first place, for that I will always be grateful!
