I don't know how you guys do it because my simple shading stuff looks incomplete sometimes while you know how to balance it properly here. Just the right amount of shading for anime style under normal lighting.
Note: Please use only relevant tags for this post. For eg, I'm not sure how Splinterlands tag fits into the holozing post here. Sometimes they use this tag to identify posts so incorrect tags can waste the time of some curators.

Greetings.
To give both shading and lighting I use the airbrush and soft airbrush brushes which create a gradient effect and so the shading is softer and looks different from the flat shading. I also try not to play too much with the colors and use darker and lighter shades of the original color for shadows and highlights.
Regarding the tags I am going to stop using them. Thanks for the clarification.
