Interest in artificial intelligence (AI) is increasing day by day, and AI music generators are increasing rapidly at almost the same rate. Although there are many GenAI-powered music editing and creation tools on the market, Adobe also wants to put its own spin on the market. Adobe introduced its GenAI music tool at tthe Hot Pod Summit in Brooklyn on Wednesday, February 28.

The built-in editing features of Adobe's GenAI music tool set it apart from its competitors. It allows creators to create music using text prompts and have granular control to edit that audio within the same workflow. And users can then edit the software's creation to fine-tune it to their needs. Users start by inputting a text prompt like "powerful rock", "groovy rock", "inspiring pop", "happy dance" or "sad jazz" to generate the music they want. Then, once the audio is generated, users can adjust things like tempo, intensity, repeated patterns, and structure. Additionally, users can extend the length of a track, remix selected tracks, or create a seamlessly repeatable loop for their content needs.

I've tried a lot of AI tools, but Adobe's GenAI music tool seems to have slightly different features than others, but it's still in development and not publicly available for use. According to the statement, the tool is being developed in collaboration with researchers at the University of California and Carnegie Mellon.

Music is so popular that I'm not surprised that so many AI-powered tools are being developed. Although there is debate about whether artificial intelligence tools are useful or not, it seems that many more artificial intelligence tools will be released in the future, and the entry of giant companies such as Adobe into this sector reveals how much this sector can grow in the future. AI apps really make things a lot easier, so I love using them, but they can never give the feeling of a work of art.
