Getting that new card and incorporating it into your play style, is so satisfying. The fact it's an actual asset you own; that nobody can take away, feels right at a fundamental level. Welcome aboard, Adeline :)

You are absolutely right, just a few days ago I got 2 new cards after crossing the first level in Bronze. I even tweeted about it and after that using those cards in battle was really satisfying. Thank you @mattclarke :)
