Hello to all!
First of all, let me tell you I am so excited to join this platform. I am a housewife and nowadays I have started liking reading a lot but this reading is nowhere related to learning,😄 although I also like learning new things, but my hobby is mostly reading rom-com and thrilling novels. Apart from this, I am on my way to becoming financially literate and self-reliant. But being a family woman, there are very few opportunities to do something creative in my own time and leisure, so I was looking for such a platform for quite some time.
To me, the world of Web3 is like Mars for humans. Till now, I have only guessed about it, and this is the first time I have landed here, and that too to a Splinterlands-built ship piloted by Captain @bravetofu who is my mentor. I am here because of him and I thank him very much for all his help and guidance.
I have loved playing games since my childhood. Although games used to be offline back then, there is a different level of nostalgia for them. Even after games came online, many games have been in my favourite list like Mario, Need for Speed, Bowling, Pool, early GTA, etc. But with the changing times, games became even more high-tech. But Splinterlands is a different kind of game. Although I don't really know much about it yet, but after playing this game for the last few days, I have understood that as simple as this game looks, it is equally challenging to play, which is a good thing because this is what makes it exciting.
For some time now, I have been looking to get involved myself in crypto and this is mostly because I often see the advertisement in media channels. Those ads ignites curiosity in me and I started seeing crypto related stuffs, and then I came to know about the Splinterlands game based on web3 on X. Although, as I mentioned above with the Mars example, I do not know anything about web3 at the moment, but after reading its brief description, I feel that anyone would feel excited about it.
Under the guidance of Captain @bravetofu, I have stepped into this world full of opportunities with the hope that it will bring big and positive changes to my life, where I can learn more about web3 gaming, Hive, Crypto, etc.
Since the day I created my account, I am trying to learn as much as I can and also fixed some issues like RC shortage etc. I was suggested that I should write an introduction post so here I am with that. I look forward to connect with the community and amazing people over here.

You are absolutely right, just a few days ago I got 2 new cards after crossing the first level in Bronze. I even tweeted about it and after that using those cards in battle was really satisfying. Thank you @mattclarke :)
I loved Mario, Need for Speed and the first couple to GTA too! You found a great mentor in @bravetofu - and stick with @splinterlands, it’s special. I promise. So glad to have you in our family. Brave may be the Captain but we are all here to support you.
