It's always fun and nerve wracking to launch something new in the blockchain world. Blockchain programming is notoriously difficult. Mobile makes it harder. Gaming makes it harder. We're on our way to launching blockchain mobile gaming. So, I think I'm appropriately nervous.

That said I'm also really excited. This is the holy grail of onboarding users and real world mainstream adoption. So, it's a giant step in the right direction to start getting Hive mobile apps on your phone!

GOIN' LIVE BABY

So, without further ado, we're anticipating that rewards will be going live for our initial Stakehouse Den games later this week. We're targeting Wednesday/Thursday and carefully searching for last minute bugs and quality of life improvements to the game experience. We've extensively debugged $HOTSAUCE generation and here's hoping these efforts make it so we're not repeating some of the tricky bugs we had to solve for Moon Karts and $fuel.

While most of the rewards go live at launch there's a whole section of jackpot rewards that lives in the whitepaper. We're holding off on that to start because we're prioritizing getting the mobile launched once the majority of game rewards are live. So, it's coming. We just think that the mobile app is more important.

Before long you'll be able to play the game on a desktop browser, in a mobile app pending the approval of the app stores, or in your default mobile browser (if you have Keychain Mobile App installed).

Once the rewards go live we're wrapping the Unity App where you can play the game into mobile apps for IOS and Android. You'll need to have Keychain Mobile App as well to make this a good experience. Once you have both apps downloaded and setup you'll be able to play these social casino games from your phone, with delegated authority taking care of most of the need for signatures, but with the ability to sign transactions via Keychain Mobile if you're doing something like making financial transactions on your phone.

If you make a financial transaction, which will typically be from your default mobile browser (since we're worried the gamestores won't allow apps with crypto transactions in them) you'll be deeplinked to Hive Keychain Mobile and prompted to sign a transaction, and then returned to the game. It should feel pretty seamless to do transactions on mobile. Once you're done making transactions in your browser you can go back inside the app to play with the cards you've bought or the funds you earned from selling.

What's the flow to get started?

Well, you'll want to buy Lady Luck packs from the site or second hand on tribaldex.com. If you use the $SCRIPT token on to buy packs through arcadecolony.com you can get a hefty discount. You can purchase $SCRIPT on tribaldex.com.

Once you have packs you open those packs and receive individual NFTS. You're also able to purchase these NFTS from other players via the market using $SCRIPT. Combine the cards you own.

You want to stake $SCRIPT in game so that you can stake cards to earn $HOTSAUCE. This leads to a constant demand for $SCRIPT and as more players join should help in keeping the value near Par. Once you have $SCRIPT staked you can then stake NFTS. With both SCRIPT and NFTS staked you can start earning $HOTSAUCE.

You'll need to upgrade your refrigerator so you can store more $HOTSAUCE. As you stake more cards you'll want a bigger and bigger refrigerator to help you store more $hotsauce and give yourself more time between needing to login and play.

It's admittedly a good amount of setup to get started, but once your cards are combined and staked it's then gets much more simple going forward.

As time goes on you'll be able to claim your $HOTSAUCE and use it to play social casino style games. You're using non-transferable $HOTSAUCE as a proxy for a wager, but keep in mind that $HOTSAUCE auto-regenerates over time. Also, you can't lose the cards you're staking. So, the only outcome of a game is that you win and increase the number of $COLONY tokens in your possession or you lose and simply don't get $COLONY rewards for that particular game. However, as long as you're staking NFTS and $SCRIPT you can just wait a little bit longer and your $HOTSAUCE will grow back.

If you don't play for too long you'll fill up your Refrigerator and won't be able to store more $HOTSAUCE. So, be sure to come back every day to make sure you're not wasting precious time or losing precious $HOTSAUCE.

GAMES TO START

We'll have Blackjack, Roulette, and Slots available at the start. Over time we'll add more games. We've already started design work and plan to add more before the year is over.

The games right now are all single player, but we're hoping at least half of the games will be more interactive and multiplayer. You'll be able chat and send emojis to the other players. It should feel like a pretty standard social casino, but in this one you can earn!
