Splinterlands Epic Battle: Naga Windmaster

image.png

Feeling desperate when you lose battles constantly??
Want to increase your Win rate while doing daily quest??
This is the right post for you

Hello Everyone

Feeling the same way with the above quote? Don't worry, I am here to share some of my thoughts and techniques to help you win with your battles. And here comes the first post for me ever since I joined the family of Splinterlands last November. Talking about myself, I am not a whale player with lots of fancy cards, instead, I enjoy the feeling of winning battles to overplay the other players through strategic psywar.

The Battle Rules

image.png

32 Mana Cost
Target Practice: All Ranged and Magic attack Monsters have the Snipe ability.
Stampede: The Trample ability can trigger multiple times per attack if the trampled Monster is killed.

My Team

In this battle, there was a restriction of only Water,Earth and Life, which indicates that my opponent could possibly use his/her high level Life/Earth team that he/she rented (by checking the last 5 battle history). So that I decide to use the Bortus summoner and Naga Windmaster to counter my opponent.

The Lineup

Summoner

image.png

The Bortus summoner is definitely one of my favorite cards to counter the opponents with magic damage during battles, especially Earth team and some magic monster in Life team. By considering the battle rules, I made a prediction that my opponent will use Magic/Ranger Lineup. Therefore, I decide to use the combo of Bortus and Naga Windmaster lineup.

Front Row

image.png

Diemonshark is one of the best tank for Water Team in the Chaos Legion Meta, with high speed and shield against the melee monsters. Also, the Stampede Rule enabled the Diemonshark to trigger the Trample for multiple times.

Second

image.png

Djinn Oshannus is the best card to counter magic opponents with the Void ability. Besides that, the reason I put it on the second place was Target Practice Rule, which means that the range/magic monsters will attack my range/magic monsters at the back. As a result, I put my Oshannus at second place to tank the damage.

Third

image.png

The Igor Darkspear is a card with good value to use when you are almost running out of Mana. It has 4 health and 1 damage with only 2 Mana Cost. As a result, I put it on the third place to tank the damage after Oshannus.

Fourth

image.png

The Headwinds ability of Naga Windmaster was definitely the MVP of my battle to outplay my enemy. The reason I put it a latter place was that I want to keep this ability as much as I could to reduce the range damage of opponent monsters.

Fifth

image.png

The Axemaster is my DPS monster that could possibly deals 4 damages per round with the Double Strike ability. As a result, I put it at fifth place to protect it.

Last

image.png

The Furious Chicken plays a role of shield to protect my Axemaster, in case the enemies had sneak ability to hit my monsters at the back so that my Axemaster could survive for one more round.

Battle Result

image.png

As you can see, I survived after the battle with all LV.1 cards towards the opponent renting the cards above Lv.3 mostly. The reflection behind this battle is that, sometimes your level of card doesn't matter but the calculation to win the strategic psywar (like picking the right cards/ positioning).

Hi! Just a quick note regarding topic-tags on Hive, hopefully this helps!

If a post doesn't necessarily reference PeakMonsters.com (or any specific tag), then you don't have to include the #peakmonsters topic-tag. We advice you to use that slot for other more relevant topic-tags. Those who view the #peakmonsters topic-tag are more likely to look for content related to peakmonsters.com.

We do encourage you to write post about PeakMonsters, and then if you do, we tend to tip and vote on them from time to time. We look forward to those posts! :)
