Greetings to all my fellow players around the world and to Splinterlands. Once a week I give time to write something about Splinterlands. But this time I have to make it twice since the challenge must be done today😊.

I will be sharing a battle earlier, using my 2nd favorite element-Life. As you may all seen in my previous post my top favorite is Lorkus-the dual summoner of fire and death element. But this time I would like to show my 2nd powerful plays using Life.

LET ANALYSE THE DETAILS

  • 32 Mana Cap
  • Explosive Weaponry
  • Keep Your Distance
  • Even Stevens

32 mana cap: is kinda not comfortable to me, since I'm comfortable using the 7 mana archons above 40 mana is my forte. Adjustment had to be made to form a team with a strong cards.

Explosive weaponry: with just 32 mana cap most of the cards that I can use here are mostly low hp. My choice of archons is Bella Ratajowlski, to provide my cards with deflect ability.

Keep your distance: again it limits the option to just magic damage, range, and no attack/damage card.

Even Stevens: it even more narrowed the the cards selection😄.

I would say that I am the underdog here when it comes level of cards, damage output and maybe a little on HP since he has Abyssal Elemental with Resurgence ability and another card Shadowfey Shiek with Life Leech and not to mention he used dual element archon which gives him a much wider selection of cards to choose from.

But still I have a convincing win due to several reasons that I was able to use at my advantage. When it comes to winning a battle like this, the feeling of satisfaction goes beyond the rewards of the game.

TIPS THAT I CAN GIVE TO MY FELLOW SPLINTERLANDS PLAYER

In playing Explosive Weaponry combat rule the number 1 choice is to use the Deflect ability, its a defensive strategy to safeguard the teams card from blast.

Another way to treat this is to turn enemys damage into your own offense by using Counter Spell or in my own words Magic Reflect. Another 1 is Return Fire or in my own words Return Archer☺️. All the damage and half of the blast taken by my teams cards will be return back to the hitter. It can actually kill a card in 1 go due to the heavy damage that it will recieve in return. But then again if the enemy has deflect ability then it zeroed out all the return damage. Its frustrating when it turns out this way but thats the game it will keep us guessing until all cards are layed in battle.

In Keep Your Distance rule, the very basic is to avoid or minimise the damage from magic and range attack. There are lots of ways we can turn this rule into our advantage. I am just going to name a few.

HEADWINDS: In above battle as you can see one of my cards has this ability to minimise enemys range damage or minus 1 on his range attack.

PROTECT: I also used this ability on my battle to provide 2 armor to my team. The Headwinds and Protect works hand in hand. The enemy will hit the armor first and with minus one range attack it is definitely a big advantage. But as you can see on my card Nimbledook Explorer provided armor but it has no attack, that is why I had to use Moxian Rebel to provide magic damage alimg with Grimbardun Smith. Weapons Training ability of Moxian also gives me an edge to this battle.

REPAIR: If we have an protect,then why not we use ability that can repair the armor of the most hit cards. This actially is crucial on my battle above since the enemy use 2 range card.

RETURN FIRE: In Keep Your Distance rule only two damage can be use. Why not we give back 50% damage to the enemy especially in Explosive Weaponry rule.

Theres actually a lot more ability available, one more thing that I would like to suggest to every player is to memorize the ability of every cards. In battle we only have more than 2 minutes to choose and its crucial that we know what are we going to pick. By playing more battle, we can remember all the ability. Just keep on playing, if we win - we are rewarded, and if loose - we learn.
