Splinterlands Weekly Land Update, Market Report and Resource Swap Snapshot!
Good morning Splinterfriends!!!
It has been an amazing week in Splinterlands and for me personally as well!!!
I apologize for the delay in my writing this but this is the first chance I've had to sit down with my computer and type something up in almost 5 days!
First... I saw Metallica perform live and that show was unbelievable!
Second... My voice was super hoarse and throat sore from all the yelling lol (I'm not 21 anymore)
Third... Allergies kicked in and Thursday/Friday were miserable...
Fourth... I guess being around 70,000 screaming fans... means my immune system was going to work OVERTIME... but with the raw throat and allergies overwhelming them... I am annoyingly sick - doesn't appear to be major but it keeps my throat irritated and I still have a sore throat (getting better), lots of mucus (fun) and general malaise... but...
Fifth... I still have to work because I am a wage-cuck... still sold a car on Friday and two yesterday... #NoExcuses
With all that being said - despite my perseverance... I have needed a little more rest than usual and thus, lost the time I usually have to devote to this... until today!
The wait is over, I am ready to go and have an hour to knock this out!! SO LFG LADS!!!!
Last time in Praetoria, we were seeing some accelerated Land Development... we were up to Plot 90 being the next available Plot in Dryae Tor (R143) Tract 02.
Currently we are up to...
WOAH! We are all the way up to Plot 009 in Tract 04! (Remember someone Claimed Tract 03)
That means in the last 11 days, we have seen 20 Plots Claimed and Surveyed!! We are well over the 1/Day avg from last year!! Enough chit chat!! Get yer poop in a group and lets goooooooooooooooooooooooo!!
Heading down to Dryae Tor, we stop in at our previous "Final Plot" from our last trip to see how Plot 89 in Tract 02 is doing...
Plot 89 is still owned by @acetoby and they're still working on building their Logging Camp! Great work toby and you'll get Wood soon! #WenBeaver?
Setting out from here, we visit our first Plot of the day...
Plot 90 has been Claimed and Surveyed by @zsumla and is a Common Natural Forest that we have seen to be the norm in this Tract!
Plot 91 is a tingly Forest... Yup... confirmed... Plot 91 is a Common Magic [Life] Forest that was Claimed and Surveyed by @grosh - nice work Grosh! They currently have it listed for $37.50 on the Market and that's basically Floor Price! I'm sure that'll sell soon!!
Plot 92 is another Grosh Plot and this one is a Common Natty Forest, also for sale... This one is $16.50 or about Floor + 10% - that shouldn't be an issue and it too will probably move quickly!
Plot 93 is identical - Common Natty Forest picked up and listed for sale by Grosh
Plot 94 is... more of the same... Common Natty Forest... Claimed, Surveyed, Listed by Grosh
Plot 95 is @cherokee4life coming in and they found a Common Natty Jungle! Nothing going on here (yet) so we move on!
Plot 96 is a Fancy... I mean Rare Natural Jungle and this one is owned by @filipb who has a Logging Camp under Construction
Plot 97 is @ratone and they found a Common Magic [Life] Jungle and they have listed it for sale on the Market, setting the Floor Price of $37.40, undercutting Grosh by $.10 lol
Plot 98 is another Common Natty Forest picked up by @kaeves4711 - I see a couple of minions with hammers lazily swinging them about while most of the others are taking naps or drinking coffee... Logging Camp under construction but will probably take awhile with this crew...
Plot 99 is yet another Common Natty Forest and this one is owned by @im-rey-gey who has left it dormant... which brings us to... THE FINAL PLOT IN THE TRACT!!!
Plot 100 is... drumroll please... womp womp... a Common Natty Forest that is owned by @kgmjam! Congrats on owning the FINAL PLOT in Tract 02 of Dryae Tor... ONWARD TO TRACT 04!!!
Plot 01 of Tract 04 in Dryae Tor (R143) is full of promise and wonder and... wet! Huh?? Oh! It's tingly too... Wet and Tingly... hmmmmmm...

Plot 03 is HEY!! It's @bunsbagsandcaps - I see you too have jumped on the Common Natty Forest Train!!
Plot 04 is @draygyn who must think they're SOOOOOOOOOOO fancy with their Rare Natural Forest!! Pinky's out lads... we're FANCY!!!
Plot 05 is @doombot75 with a Common Natty Forest... I see... they're everywhere... ARE THEY FOLLOWING ME?!?!? AHHHHH... No. No. Breathe... It's just the topography of the Region... it's fine.
Plot 06 is @jznsamuel with a Rare Natty Forest - FANCY WOOD CLUB EHHH??? Nice find!!
Plot 07 is @freedomno1 with a Common Natural Bog! They're hard at work building a Grain Farm so we shall let them be!
Plot 08 is our final stop today and it is a Common Natural Swamp that has been Claimed and Surveyed by @solymi - nice work and congrats!!

Grain has fallen 10.58% since the last post and slipped back to 121 Grain per DEC... but with the massive Grain shortfalls, I expect this to turn around... at some point?
My personal focus is still on Grain Production... but who knows if that will pay off!!
Wood puts up a another nice gain this week as it move up another 5.5% over last weeks tremendous rise! The price of Wood is now 33.658 Wood per DEC and I'm guessing Midnight Potions are the reason!
PP Based Pricing Metrics are 4:1 Grain:Wood so if we measured prices with our PP's then Wood should be trading at roughly 4 x 8.261 DEC or 33.044 DEC per Kilo, so Wood is now trading pretty much at PP Metrics for 33.658 DEC/Kilo!
The Price of Stone increased another 7.4% this week!!! I'm guessing it is based on the Midnight Potions but honestly I am just guessing based on in-game mechanics... Stone prices moved up to 6.546 Stone per DEC and who knows what next week will bring!
PP Based Metrics are 10:1 Grain:Stone so a PP based price would have Stone priced at 8.261 so Stone at 152.787 DEC per Kilo means we appear to be in "overbought" territory by almost 2x... but these are technically "emerging markets"... but this is all just guess work anyways lol
This is certainly not financial advice as I am literally tracking the economies of a VIDEO GAME but hey, here's the data, I hope it helps 🤷♂ (At least we're not Eve Online aka Spreadsheets Galore)
Iron prices, like Grain, slipped a little this week. Iron fell 3.14% (Pi lol) this week and typically it has the smallest swing %'s... I'm not sure what is the cause of suppressed swing percentages... but probably due to having less Iron than others due to difficulty mining it... This week Iron fell to 2.653 Iron per DEC!
Does this continue next week?? Does it fall 20%??? WHO KNOWS!!!! But WHEEEEEEE!
Keep in mind Iron is the hardest Resource to acquire, requiring a LOT of effort to extract it. Grain has a .02PP Requirement whereas Iron is .0005 or 40X harder to Mine! Will this transfer a premium to Iron? Who knows! We're just over a week in and this is EXCITING!!
PP Based Price Metrics put Iron at 40:1 Grain:Iron so that would mean if Grain:DEC is trading at 8.261 DEC Kilo of Grain, then Iron should be 336.58 DEC per Kilo or so but all bets are off at this point!
It is currently just shy of 377 DEC per Kilo so that seems like it's trading quite near the PP Price!
Hey look! They got their own section!! This is a simple breakout highlighting whether or not a Resource is trading Over/Under their PP Based Price. Perhaps it will act as a Market Indicator to let us know if a resource is Under/Overvalued at present????
Here's another handy dandy chart - I think aggroed and others are posting something super similar to this as well so I love having more than one person looking at this data!

I just surveyed a plot of land today.. And I look forward to your post of shame calling me out on how I wasted $55 on another stupid Wood producing plot! hahahaha

And this new Swamp is what I got:( at least it's a Swamp and I didn't have that before? But now I have way too many Wood plots and only 1 Grain plot lol
