Splinterlands Weekly Land Report, Market Update and Resource Snapshot 6-5-2025

Good morning Splinterfriends!!

untitled.gif

I hope you are having a wonderful day - I am still on vacation with the family in the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg, Tennessee area.

I did want to take the time to write up my weekly Land Report and highlight the benefit of tightening down on my LPE - I had some very inefficient Land Plots out there 😬

When I return, I will work on producing some quality Tournament Content as well as Land Content! I have begun playing a lot of Conclave Arcana Tournaments, as well as Modern Tournaments :)

For now though - let's look at the Land Report!!

image.png

Last week we found our way to Plot 30 in Tract 04 of Dryae Tor

image.png

This week we find our way all the way up to Plot 37!

image.png

Despite Conclave Arcana stealing all the thunder, Land is still moving along at a 1 Plot/Day average! Let's not waste any more time and dive into Praetoria to see what was found over the last week!

image.png

untitled.gif

As we make our way downto-- down to Praetoria I can barely contain the excitement! A new week and 7 new Plots uncovered!!

Let's see what they are!! As we pull up to our final stop from last week, where we always begin... we can see that...

Plot 30, a Common Natural Swamp that was Claimed and Surveyed by @bengiles is still sitting dormant - perhaps something better is attracting their workers!

We can't see anyone to wave to on this vacant plot so we set off into the Wilderness to see what newfound treasures were discovered this week!! Hopefully @cherokee4life didn't get shafted again!

untitled.gif

Plot 31 is our first stop today and it is a Common Natural Swamp that was Claimed and Surveyed by @vtmacguru - that's a new name I haven't seen! Hi vtmacguru!! Are you from Vermont or did you graduate from Virginia Tech or perhaps... your initials are VT lol... I'm betting you're a Mac Guru though... Welcome to Praetoria! The Plot lies dormant so we move on to the next...

Plot 32 is another Common Natty Swamp picked up by vtmacguru - nice!! Two plots back to back! If these are your first plots and you need help with setting up your Land - please let me know!

Plot 33 is a smokey, cloudy, foggy, obscured Plot... what is this... checks map... Ohhhhhh it's Magically Hidden because it hasn't been Surveyed yet! @nugglet has a Plot they Claimed but for some reason they haven't Surveyed it yet... HURRY UP NUGGLET!!! WHAT IS IT!!!

Plot 34 is another @bengiles Common Natty Swamp with nothing on it... so we're moving on here!

Plot 35 is another new face to me - @justindestroyed has Claimed and Surveyed a fancy Swamp - a Rare Natty Swamp lies before us and things just appear to be nicer than the surrounding Common Swamps... it's like Globogym...

untitled.gif

"We're Better Than You & We Know It"

Plot 36 is another Bengiles plot and this one is a Rare Natural Badlands - it is also lying dormant so we shall continue to our final Plot this week...

Plot 37 is a Common Natty Swamp by newcomer @shaidon - welcome to Praetoria Shaidon! I did a little looking and it seems you have a few Plots up and running already but you might need or want some help on the Grain Side of things... I have loaned out a worker for you - it'll fit right at home in your bog!

image.png

Look after this guy for me for a bit - I'll delegate him for a week at least, until my next Land Report, but may forget about it for longer because I am kinda easily distracted...

The best part about the worker I am loaning you is they are very efficient. Please forgive me but I don't know how much you know about Land so I may say something that you already understand - but I do it to be helpful, not to be rude.

Currently, you have 2 Max Workers on that Grain Plot in Afrijan. They require 10k DEC staked each and produce 1,000 PP each.

That means you have to stake 20k DEC to provided enough power for those two workers... this guy will put out 2,500 PP and only require 2,500 DEC staked to fuel him 😄

You can stake 2,500 more DEC if you want (I'd recommend this) but you could also unstake 7,500 DEC and replace a worker if you wanted... but I don't know if I'll remember to stop delegation after a week and you have a Land Cooldown to worry about...

Anyways - for a short time, for only 2,500 Staked DEC vs 20,000 SDEC, this will help you more than double your Grain Production! I hope it helps and please make sure you pet him at least once a day - he's kinda snuggly like that 😊

untitled.gif

(PS - @shaidon - thank you for helping me come up with an AWESOME idea...)

image.png

image.png

NEW IDEA ALERT!!!

untitled.gif

Forgive the tags lads - you can call me a turd in the comments if you want... but knowing you as much as I do... I don't think you will... in FACT... I suspect you will LOVE this idea and perhaps come to LOOK FORWARD to these tags in the future 😃

It's always a gamble tagging some of the heavyweights - but I need you to see this and I don't care about any upvotes... I mean... it's not like I earned "The Gambler" Title or anything...

image.png

So without wasting any more time on a dramatic buildup... here's the concept and the tags... so

untitled.gif

The Idea: New Player Land Fostering aka "Praetorian Growth & Development Group"

I have been writing these "Land Reports" for quite awhile now... and I have seen many a familiar face on the Plots I visit... However... I do see a good number of New Names as well... many of these players, like Shaidon from earlier... have 1-5 Plots and are working them with cards here and there...

Today - I saw Shaidon (sorry to keep using you as the example but it is a REALLY good idea and I am excited for what's about to happen 😃) had 5 Plots (probably for the Warden Bonus?) and was working them to harvest a variety of resources:

Grain, Wood, Iron, Research and they were building an SPS Mine on their newest plot in Dryae Tor... So I had a thought...

thought: "You know... I have a few extra random cards laying around that haven't rented out... specifically CL Era GF Legends that have 1 BCX...

This "New Player" with mostly Conclave Arcana cards has bought some Max CL Commons to work their Land... but that requires staking 10k DEC per card...

So what if I just delegated them a card for their Grain Plot... I could delegate them a 1 BCX Torrent Fiend, for example, and that would more than DOUBLE their Grain Production but only cost another 2,500 Staked DEC (SDEC) to employ...

Currently, they have 20k SDEC for 2k PP... but I have a spare 2,500 PP Card just laying around, unrented, unused, very cute and unpetted 😥... that I could loan them... to help foster New Player Land Growth in Praetoria..."

- tik tik tik - DING!

untitled.gif

Thus - the idea was born... and I apologize for getting way off track from the Land Report BUT THIS IS MORE IMPORTANT AND MAY BE THE BEST IDEA I HAVE HAD YET!!!

image.png

Introducing : The Praetorian League of Extraordinary Gentlemen

Every week, I scour through a lot of Land Plots - mostly the newest, Claimed/Surveyed Plots... but also through the Market Report I see a lot of them for Sale and who's buying, selling, etc...

What if, I created a post, the day after my Weekly Land Report and I highlighted a number of relatively New Players... I could then tag the League Member and pair them up with a "Player"...

The League Member could then help foster the growth of their Budding New Player... aka Buddy {get it - Budding (Plant Growth but also New Growth) = Buddy [Friend]} - so punny.

Thus the League Member could help the New Player with advice on Land, LPE, etc and Delegate a few cards they may have laying around to help kickstart their "Buddy's" growth and Self Sufficiency!

I'll find and vet the New Players each week (to the best of my ability) and then tag them in this manner:

League Member 1 - New Player 1
LM 2 - NP 2
ETC

That way there won't be any overlap and each League Member will be assigned exactly ONE "Buddy" per week (or season) or something - I feel like week may be too short... but also we could workshop it where each League Member has a rotating Assignment?

Week 1 = LM 1 : Buddy 1 in
Week 2 = LM 1 : Buddy 2 in
Week 3 = LM 1 : Buddy 3 in, Buddy 1 out?

Something like that - anyways... I will write an entirely new post about this tomorrow but I am gambling (with the odds heavily in my favor) that these tags won't earn me a ton of Downvotes... because I am not tagging them for Upvotes - I am tagging them because I like... no... I LOVE... Helping People grow... and I trust that THEY know me well enough by now to understand that.

(PS - New Players and future Buddies... I cannot stress enough that tagging Whales, without having a great relationship with them first, is a terrible way to get involved with Hive and almost always ends up getting your account Nuked in the long run)

untitled.gif

League Member Tags - First Thoughts

@davemccoy - I am 100% certain you'd be down to helping out here, at the very least with Card Delegation :)

@bravetofu - I absolutely know you're down to clown with me on this 😃, you're one of the most helpful people I know!

@azircon - with your knowledge, analytical skills, numerous Hive posts on Topic and willingness to mentor others... you're a natural addition

@olebulls - you're one of the coolest people I know here and I am betting you'd find a little time to help a New Player if I requested some PP Delegation

@beaker007 - again... one of the most helpful people I know on Hive & Splinterlands! I bet you'd be willing to help mentor new people with their Land Efficiency, delegate a few High PP BCX you may have laying around and just be awesome as usual 😁

@thejedo - The Mastermind. The Wizard. The LPE Extraordinaire!!! How could I not tag you, even if I have interacted with you the least... I mean... when you write articles like this:

Keeping up with the Landashians

I am going to stop with six at first - but as I start writing these weekly, following each Land Report, we will add more...

So... to the original Six Tagged "Members"...

image.png

[I will follow up with each of you via Discord and start a Discord Channel - you'll each get an invite]

image.png

image.png

Ok... so... truth be told... While I love whenever I have an "Idea Bomb" or to borrow a phrase from Stephen King's "The Tommyknockers" - the best description I can come up with to elaborate on what happens in my brain is "Grand Idea"...

I love it - because rapid fire the neurons go off and an idea is born that is typically on the "HOLY S#$%" scale... but it really throws me off and leaves me a bit wild eyed and disoriented after I spit it out onto paper or social media...

untitled.gif

My brain now... ^

Ok... so I am pretty sure we are done with the Land Report and are now heading off to do the Land Market Report brought to you by @Peakmonsters and https://peakmonsters.com/market/land!!

Lets head over to the Financial Side of things and check on the price of Real Estate in Praetoria!

untitled.gif

image.png

Thank you for joining us so far - we are now heading to check in with the Real Estate team at the Peakmonsters Financial Desk to see what Land Prices have done over the last week!

While I am not sure what kind of shenanigans are happening at the @peakmonsters Financial Desk... we give you your long awaited, always satisfying, never disappointing WEEKLY LAND MARKET UPDATE!!!

Let's see what updates and possible deals we can find today, in the Peakmonsters Land Market Tab!!

Special Note:

[Please understand - I have no affiliation, sponsorship, relationship, partnership, and do not receive special rewards or ANYTHING from @Peakmonsters, @jarvie or @asgarth...

The reason I tag Peakmonsters and say "Peakmonsters Financial Desk" is because I met those guys at Splinterfest back in 2022, use their site a lot (especially the Land tab aka the "Desk" lol) and show my appreciation and gratitude by tagging their site "Peakmonsters" in these write-ups.

I hope by doing so, it helps point a few people their way and increases Site Traffic! However, if they ever want me to stop... just comment on one of these posts or message me on Discord]

Let's go check out the Resource Tracker for 06/5/2025 now!

For a graph of this data please see the chart on @beaker007's amazing site:

image.png

Weekly Snapshot "Resource Tracker"

image.png

image.png

Market Summary & Analysis:

The release of Conclave Arcana and Midnight Potions gave these resources a "Use-Case" and thus the demand for them was IMMENSE during the Pre-Sale and Pack Opening! Things are cooling off for now... but with the promo for Yaba's Pickle right around the corner... WHO KNOWS what will happen to Resource and Midnight Potion prices!!

image.png

Click the above Image to go to Yaba's Pickle Article!

image.png

Grain:

Grain fell to 127 Grain/DEC or 7.862 DEC per Kilo of Grain... but with the massive Grain shortfalls across Praetoria, I expect this to turn around... at some point... while it is still better than the 168 Grain/DEC ATL, I hope to see it back < 100 Grain/DEC but who knows how long that will be... if ever... but I am sticking to my Guns... errr... Threshers???!

My personal focus is still on Grain Production... with a small amount of additional raw material as well... but who knows if that strategy will pay off!!

I will write a follow up article over the weekend on my new, streamlined Production unit!

image.png

Wood:

Wood fell ANOTHER 20% against the DEC to 44 Wood per DEC and is now trading at 30% less than what it "should" be, when compared to the PP Based Metrics...

Something something... their DEC can't get Wood... something... 😅

untitled.gif

PP Based Pricing Metrics are 4:1 Grain:Wood so if we measured prices with our PP's then Wood should be trading at roughly 4 x 7.862 DEC or 31.448 DEC per Kilo, so Wood is now trading about 30% under PP Metrics for 22.373 DEC/Kilo!

#WenBeaver

image.png

Stone:

untitled.gif

The Price of Stone finally followed the broader market movements but it is still trading at right around the 2X PP value so be cautious of another large drop in price over the next couple of weeks...

PP Based Metrics are 10:1 Grain:Stone so a PP based price would have Stone priced at 7.862 so Stone at 132.417 DEC per Kilo means we appear to still be in "overbought" territory by almost 2x despite the correction... but these are technically "emerging markets"... annnnnd this is all just guess work anyways lol

This is certainly not financial advice as I am literally tracking the economies of a VIDEO GAME but hey, here's the data, I hope it helps someone 🤷‍♂

Please let me know this is useful in the comments if you read it!!

image.png

Iron:

Iron prices dipped again, dropping another 11.51% against DEC but keep in mind Iron is the hardest Resource to acquire, requiring a LOT of effort to extract it. Grain has a .02PP Requirement whereas Iron is .0005 or 40X harder to Mine! Will this transfer a premium to Iron? Who knows! But I'll be keeping my eyes on it!!

PP Based Price Metrics put Iron at 40:1 Grain:Iron so that would mean if Grain:DEC is trading at 7.862 DEC per Kilo of Grain, then Iron should be 314.48 DEC per Kilo or so but it has dipped to about 20% below the PP Price and is currently just shy of 254.719 DEC per Kilo so that seems like it fell right past PP Metrics and as I mentioned about, is about 20% under PP value.

Check back in next week for more updates and analysis!

image.png

PP Based Pricing Metrics:

Hey look! They got their own section!! This is a simple breakout highlighting whether or not a Resource is trading Over/Under their PP Based Price. Perhaps it will act as a Market Indicator to let us know if a resource is Under/Overvalued at present????

Here's another handy dandy chart - I think aggroed and others are posting something super similar to this as well so I love having more than one person looking at this data!

Again - for a splendid Graph of this data please see the charts available on @beaker007's site:

https://demo.spl-stats.com/land-resources

image.png

At the end of the day, the Market will Market... but at least we have some people who are actively tracking an analyzing the data!

Until next time, back to YOU 😁

image.png

I hope this helps people visualize what the prices of these resources are doing post Land 1.75 Release!!

Let's give thanks and shoutouts to those making it happen!!

Shoutout to @cryptomancer for their work on Splinterlands, without you, we wouldn't have Land 1.75!! Conclave Arcana is stealing the show at the moment but I am still keeping tabs on the Land side of things!!

Shoutout to @Beaker007 again for all the work they're putting in to help create these awesome tools we can use!

Shoutout to @draygyn for the #WenBeaver movement - THE BEAVERS WILL HAVE THEIR DAY DAM IT!!! (I'll see myself out)

image.png

That's all I have for you today folks!! Thank you for reading and I would LOVE for you to join me in game!!

We can't see anyone to wave to on this vacant plot so we set off into the Wilderness to see what newfound treasures were discovered this week!! Hopefully @cherokee4life didn't get shafted again!

You already know whatever land I survey I get shafted with. So don't even bother looking up my land plot. They will always be a Wood producing plot FML

Thank you for the delegation. I have powered up enough DEC to keep him happy for the time being, and he’s busy generating resources for me.

Thank you also for the kind welcome. I was once a big player of the game, and now I am returning to see what’s improved in my absence.

Welcome back!

I hope the first thing you may notice that has improved - are the people 😊

For clarity - I don't mean "we have better people", I mean "we have become better people" 🙏

I worked my way up to being a contractor for Splinterlands, being paid to be part of the team and help out with their telegram page.

But they went through staff cuts and switched to AI for what I was doing.
