Land Worker Strategy - Efficiency Standards aka "Bang for your Buck"!

avatar

Good morning Splinterfriends!

It's your buddy CaptainDingus πŸ˜ƒ

I haven't had a lot of time to write - life is life-ing pretty hard lately and I am trying to focus on moving forward in several key areas and it's so very draining.

I'm pretty tapped out on the mental, emotional and financial parts of life but today I have a bit of time and I have the motivation to write a helpful piece for you guys!!

image.png

You may or may not know but during the Bear Market I managed to collect I few good Land Plots. However, having great Plots is only half of what you need to be successful on the Land side of Splinterlands...

image.png

The other half of the equation is of course - the Land Workers aka the Cards needed to Stake on the Land to "Work" it and receive the Rewards from it...

This sounds simple but as with all things, there are nuances to this that make it a bit harder to be really efficient with things than it may seem at first glance...

For many, we don't have a huge stash of GF Alpha & Beta Legendary cards we can throw around on Land lol

This means if we are going to start our Land Journey... we need a plan to be efficient with the Workers we buy, to ensure we get the most return for the investment!

Let me show you my simple guide on how I do that!!

image.png

Step One: Understanding efficiency

This part is critical - without this knowledge, nothing I tell you could have any relevance.

Pay attention!!! This is the single most important aspect of maximizing your efficiency and planning out your Workers!!

Did that get your attention??? Good - now focus. Don't ask questions. It's "Anime Logic"... just... go with it and pay attention to what's next.

I use a metric that I have called "The Gold Standard":

A Max Level Worker requires 10,000 Staked DEC.

The Gold Standard is a 1:1 Staked DEC:PP Ratio.

This requires a Max Level Card to provide at least 10,000 PP

The most abundant cards that do this are Chaos Legion GF Legendaries... hence the name "Gold Standard".

image.png

Step Two: Price Guidelines

Ok now that we have our "Gold Standard", let's set a pricing Guide...

This is pretty easy - go find out how much a Chaos Legion GFL is... I use @peakmonsters a lot so we will pull up their site and take a screenshot...

image.png

Ok - it looks like those GFL's are about $25/BCX or $25/CC using the new terminology.

It requires 4 BCX or 4 CC to make a Max GFL so $25 x 4 = $100 for a 10,000 PP Worker, which will yield an efficiency of 1:1 Staked DEC:PP...

image.png

Step Three: Rarity, Set & GF Boosts

Now that we understand the "Gold Standard" and have Pricing Guidelines ($100 for 10k PP)...

I keep this image saved on my Desktop for quick reference:

PP by Rarity & Set.png

This allows me to search for various cards with different Rarities, Sets, GF etc

I hunt for those cards that will give me 1:1 Staked DEC:PP and are at or less than $100 per MAX CARD.

This yields the highest return on my investment when purchasing Workers!

It has helped me and I hope it helps you!

image.png

Final Thoughts:

Hunting these cards this way will seriously help your Efficiency and benefit you in the long run!!

Think about it... two Max CL Epics yield 2500 PP... Currently you can scoop 2 of those for $4.25 each...

$4.25 + $4.25 = $8.50

But you will also need 10k Staked DEC each...

$8.50 + 20k Staked DEC to get 2500 PP this way...

Compare that with the Gold Standard that I use:

$25 + 2.5k Staked DEC...

1 Card gets you the same results for about the same price!!

But in the LONG RUN... here's the KEY for this strategy...

A plot can only have 5 Workers... so let's look at the LONG RUN of our Plot...

5 Max Epics = 5 x 1,250 PP = 6,250 PP & 50k Staked DEC
5 Max GFL = 5 x 10,000 PP = 50,000 PP & 50k Staked DEC

This is of course just the raw data, no bonuses applied... but LOOK AT THE DIFFERENCE!!!

Now go out there and MAXIMIZE YOUR LAND WORKER STRATEGY!!!!!

That's all I have for you today folks!! Thank you for reading and I would LOVE for you to join me in game!!

Sorry for the drought - life has been extra hard lately and I'm shouldering a heavier burden than usual.

Had a little extra in me this morning and wanted to share something useful 😊

I appreciate you and I am grateful that it helps!

I think it's more economical to rent these cards, especially the L1 GF legendary cards.

E.g., L1 GF Djinn Biljka is ~$27, the average rental price is 6.5 DEC, for this money, you can rent this card for more than 14 (!) years:

image.png

Let's assume $0.8/1000 DEC

Card cost: $27/$0.8*1000 = 33750 DEC
For this amount, you can rent 33750/6.5 = ~5192 days (more than 14 years)

And you are safe from card price inflation as well πŸ˜‰

When I had a land, I rented 5x L1 GF CL cards, and sometimes the overall cost was ~10 DEC/day (for 12500 PP).

And also, you can find max-level epic cards for only 1 DEC/day

This is a great strategy too, especially to get started!

My plan (and guide) are for those assets I prefer to own and I have been growing my collection steadily by doing this 😁

However, perhaps I should also share a piece on the "Super low budget Land Startup"...

Thank you for adding the Rental Strategy comment!

Ty! From the saved money, additional lands can be bought πŸ˜‰

I got an idea from this article. I will show the Cost/Production Point on my site for each card. I'm curious as well.

You're great at this, especially with strategies. I hope I can also learn how to do it in Splinterlands.

Good advice, thanks! I have some of my GFL working land but not at max level yet. I might have to pick up a few and combine them to get better efficiency.

That's the BEST part about the "Gold Standard"!!

At 1 BCX it's 2,500 PP and 2,500 DEC so 1:1 Efficiency... At 4 BCX it's 10k PP and 10k DEC so still 1:1 Efficiency!!

The biggest benefit for the Max Level GFL comes from Higher Tier Land - if you have a Max GFL on a Common Plot vs a Legendary Plot - the PP boost is very different!

That's a good point. So at least the 3BCX/CC ones are still getting the 1:1 efficiency. Mine are on an Epic plot that I have. Never did get a legendary plot.

I was very fortunate to have some funds available at the right time to bag a few of the $300 Legendary Plots

Otherwise I wouldn't have been able to grab any either

I suppose that offsets my $600 Plot during the Land Bubble that turned out to be a Common Canyon lmaooooooooooooooooooooooo

That's a nice deal for legendary plots! I think that is around what I paid for my epic.

I also have one of those, I think I spent around $250 and it was a common tundra. Womp womp.
