Rising Star - I choose one song per day, Daily Rising Star statistics and giveaway of 150,000 starbits - Watch out for This: Major Lazer

In this space I will be giving away STARBITS, sharing my experience with a song, telling how I discovered it, and providing interesting information about it. Then I will include several tables with statistics of the Rising Star game.

After I finished going through the hundred songs provided by Spotify that I listened to the most in the last year, I have thought of adding songs of my choice from my "Like" list that has more than 1000 songs. The last song I talked about in my last post was: It´s a Man´s, Man´s, Man´s World: James Brown

My song of choice on Spotify for today's post is Watch out for This of Major Lazer. Today I scrolled almost all the way through my Spotify “Like” list, looking for a different track than the ones I've been bringing. I've had the account since 2014-2015, so I have over 1500 songs in my lists, which I don't even remember which artists I have in their entirety anymore.

“Watch Out For This” takes me straight back to 2014 or 2015, when this song was at its peak. Back then, electronic music dominated the speakers, and dubstep was a trend sweeping all corners of the internet and parties. In my case, I even immersed myself in that world by listening to groups and artists like Skrillex, who for many teenagers at the time was one of the best bands in music. I admit it, I was a good little rat boy.

I got to know Major Lazer's song thanks to it being part of the movie “22 Jump Street”, where I heard it in a party scene and decided to look it up so I could add it to my Spotify playlist. Nowadays, I don't listen to as much electronica as I used to. It's funny, but over time it just stopped catching my attention.

Major Lazer is an electronic music group founded in 2008 by Diplo, along with Walshy Fire and Jillionaire. The group blends electronic music with raggae and Caribbean rhythms.

They have collaborated with a wide variety of artists from around the world, including Nicki Minaj, Justin Bieber, and Anitta.

Before announcing the winner of tonight's giveaway. I will share my game statistics on Rising Star, which I gathered using a tool that I created in Rising Star Utils. The new format will be similar to the one we used some time ago, using the Hive Tools application. However, the application didn't always work, so this time we will be using a Discord bot that is in charge of returning a winner from among all the comments on a Hive post.
