My Actifit Report Card: May 20 2025
Had a pretty good day yesterday. I got to ten thousand steps, which is nice, but more importantly, I have done a pretty good weight lifting workout.
As usual, I started with three sets of pull-ups and three sets of dips alternating between pull-ups and dips.
I also walk between exercises to let my muscles recover and heart rate to come down. Then I switched to barbell chest press. After four sets of those, I moved on to hammer curls and then to dumbell shoulder press.
With those two exercises complete, I finished my workout with triceps extensions using a smaller curved barbell.
I am pretty sore from this workout today on my chest, biceps, shoulders, and triceps muscles. This is a pretty good sign that my weight lifting workout yesterday was a very effective one.
Today, I have returned to the property that I put on the market last week. The reason is that I needed to mow the grass that has become really overgrown and difficult to mow:
This morning, I dropped off our daughter at school and headed to the lake house. There, I started to mow grass and had to adjust the mower height higher so that I could cut the grass without mower stalling.
Additionally, I had to put out garbage, yard waste, and recycling as it will get picked up on Wednesday morning.
Also, I had to take some pictures of the boat lift to let the potential buyers know if their boat is suitable for the boat lift.
So even when I have a really good real estate agent, the home selling process is quite involved.
And I mowed the lawn just in time, because it is raining really hard right now as I write this.
Overall it was a very intense day and I feel physically tired as today I put in over twenty thousand steps, but I am going to write about it tomorrow.

Yep, using your own body weight works a lot of muscles. I was always strong in pull-ups since I did them from childhood, but dips not so much. These days dips are easier for me for some reason.

Yes, I try to keep my workouts intense so that they are effective. Otherwise it is too easy for my body to adjust to the same thing done over and over again, so I mix things up on purpose.

I have always wondered how well electric lawnmower worked. it sounds like the wet grass can bog them down…

Yes, wet grass and especially really tall wet grass that is thick can bog them down, but I have experienced exactly the same issues with the gas one. In fact this one does better than the old gas one I used on this lawn :)

Sounds like you had a really busy and productive day.
Managing all those tasks, from mowing the overgrown grass to preparing for garbage pickup and taking pictures for potential buyers, definitely shows how much effort goes into selling a property.
Hopefully, all this hard work pays off soon with the perfect buyer.

Congratulations on your workout, and everything that you accomplished, I can certainly understand you being tired! We have an electric lawnmower here too, and yes, it's very important to pay attention to grass height, as it does stall easily. I wish you indomitable success with selling your property!
