Rain And Snow On A Sad Thursday - My Pledge For Peace On Earth - We Are Alive IAAC #687 - Actifit: February 24, 2022

On my Thursday it was raining for big parts of the day, and then it snowed in the late night, and I got a few pictures from my regular daily walking that I hope you will enjoy.
As to my online activities, I was busy with our weekly #AliveOnThursday staking contest, where I give away 1000 ALIVE tokens every week, make sure that you apply for next week, then I also managed to finish all daily tasks as well.
And now to the sad part, February 24, 2022, the day that the largest offensive war in Europe started since World War 2, and if any missunderstanding happens it could become World War 3, the end of the world as we know it, the end of the human race and most life on earth, maybe all of it, let's hope not.
This happened on a Thursday, and it will be remembered for the rest of human history as a day when peace was lost, a thousand years from now people will still talk about it, if there are humans left to talk.
The cost of this war in human lives, even if it's limited just to Ukraine, will be too big, and the cost to the rest of the world in terms of rising energy prices, and because of it the cost of food will have many people starving to death because there won't be enough food around.
This is not the world I want, this is not the world that most people in the world wants, and I hope that this is not the world you want, so hear my pledge.
I, Erik Gustafsson, do solemnly swear that I will never intentionally kill another human being, that I will never take part in any offensive war, or otherwise incite a war to happen.
I will from now on use every Thursday for the rest of my life to work for peace, not by working against war, but for peace (there is a difference), and I will publish what I have done on these Thursdays on the Hive blockchain using the tag #ThursdaysForPeace.
This is my pledge to the human race and life on this planet, life is precious and wonderful, and it is worth our time to see it prosper in peace, do you agree?

I really love your pledge for peace, lets hope the situation in Ukraine gets resloved without the need for WW3. In this day and age I didn't expect such things in Europe. Anywhere you have dictators like Putin and his friend in Belarus, such things are bound to occur.

I hope that this conflict ends quickly with minimum damage and loss of life. War is terrible, long drawn out wars are especially terrible.
I agree, life is precious and wonderful. My family is always seeking a peace that surpasses all understanding, peace that the world cannot offer. Everyone wants prosperity, but some want prosperity at the expense of others, if they only understood that everyone can prosper with non-aggression. This specific conflict has an obscure dynamic, we are not privy to all the factual information needed to make an informed opinion. It's our instinct to "take sides", but I believe there's a lot more going on than we know. We will continue praying for the citizens of Ukraine who are stuck in the middle of this mess.
