Screeching Vulture | Splinterlands Art Contest Week 341
Hello guys. I hope you are all well. I am back in this community about after a week with a fanart of a Splinterlands character. The weather was nice today and I had time to draw so I decided to make a fanart of this character. His name is Screeching Vulture and you can see in his original card image below how difficult it is to draw his wings. The most difficult thing in this drawing is to draw his wings because apart from his face, neck and feet, there are only his wings which are very spread out. I used marker colors in this drawing because painting colors takes a lot of time but marker colors add a lot of sparkle to the drawing.
Below is a Original Splinterlands Card Picture.
Procedure
First of all, I gathered all the things I needed to make the drawing in one place, as sketch pencil, black pointer, marker colors, and a white paper. My followers will be aware that I don't have a sketchbook and I make drawings on local paper. It's easy to use marker colors on local paper, but it's a bit difficult to use painting colors, which is why I didn't use them.
I thought that sketching his wings would be quite difficult but it wasn't too difficult but the sketch of his feet was more difficult than his face and neck. I tried to erase it several times and redraw it. I was still not satisfied but now I didn't want to waste any more time on his feet. I completed his sketch in about half an hour and I was happy that I had made a good sketch in such a short time.
First I started coloring its wings with brown color and you need to be very careful while doing marker colors because when you color again, that part becomes quite dark there so you only have to color one time so that it looks neat. Then I added orange color to its beak and pink color to its tongue and I tried my best to make it beautiful.
You can see in the picture above that I was trying to take a selfie with my drawing because at that time I didn't have anyone in the room to take my picture so I took a selfie myself and the drawing in the selfie is not very clear. Now after filling the brown color in its wings, I added orange color in its feet and red color on its neck. I tried my best to make his eyes realistic. Finally, I outlined it with a black pointer to add more shine to it.
I completed this drawing in about 1 hour because it didn't take me long to color it. I hope you will like this drawing of mine and I will be waiting for your feedback.

It looks great and I liked it very much.
Sometimes I want to restart drawing seeing you to draw but because of my business I can't start it. Maybe it's because of my laziness which I am saying business.

You are very good at drawing, my friend. I see you've done a great job. I don't think the painting part was as challenging as the drawing. On the contrary, it was enjoyable. I don't know this character because I haven't played SPS before, but it looks like a real vulture.
