Hello world and fellow Hive enthusiasts

It's Wednesday today and I've got a day off, so I think it's a perfect opportunity to follow up with the series that you showed much love for in my last post and I want to thank you for that! So, another episode of Highlights from the ladder is posted. Before we continue further I want to say in this part that I'm trying to find a game from my daily grind each week and present it to you here and the reason for that is always to give you ideas on how to deal with certain situations in the ladder. Also, the initiative is the Social media Challenge from Splinterlands and our goal is to promote the game in a fun and instructive way and to bring more engagement to the game on the Hive platform!

I will try to explain what is this crypto game with a few words! If you are familiar with the game skip this part! So if anyone is new here and doesn't know what the game is about let me explain it to you. Splinterlands is a play to earn a game in the NFT world. The game operates in the Hive blockchain and it is a trading game genre! To put it simply it's a card game that whenever you win you earn DEC (basically the crypto-coin of the game), the more you play and you are going up in the ladder, the more rewards you get (such as NFT-cards, etc). If you want to join and take a taste of the game, you can do that for free but if you want to start earning DEC and grind for NFT cards and more rewards you must buy the Summoner's Spellbook. I totally recommend starting your journey today and to help you with that we are going to review today one battle for my daily ranked games!

The Battle

Mission: Equalizer

Equalizer : The initial Health of all Monsters is equal to that of the Monster on either team with the highest base Health.
Basic Strategy: When the Mana cap is low, you should play monsters with low health and high damage or some useful abilities like heal, etc. But when the Mana cap is high, you should not bother with the HP of your monsters, just try to find the best way to raise your damage output!

Key cards

We are going to build our formation around this awesome legendary dragon if you don't know this monster let me present it to you! The name of this monster is the Black dragon and its stats at level 1 are 2 Magic Damage, 2 Speed, and 3 HP. Also, it has the abilities of Flying and Life Leech, and that second ability is the reason for choosing this monster! I personally choose that monster whether I've got a high or low Mana cap but today we are going to review one battle with a low mana cap! The summoner I use in combination with the Black Dragon is Delwyn Dragonscale, you can use also Archmage Arius. My opinion is that the +1 Magic Damage is important because it will give the opportunity to the Black dragon to raise its HP 2 points each time attacking!

Team Formation

The first monster I used in this battle was Albatross, and the reason was to protect my main source of damage!
The second and the third monster are Hardy Stonefish and Chaos Agent, the reason I chose them is the same as before.
Our fourth pick was Black Dragon and we analyze the reasons above!
Our fifth pick was Ice Pixie, the reason is simply to deal damage.
The last pick for our formation is the Furious Chicken, and I placed it at the end to protect again my source of damage from any sneak monsters!

Outcome of the Battle & Rewards from Daily chest

I managed to win this battle and the reason is clearly the Black Dragon, the value of this monster is huge and in combination with the Equalizer rule is just unstoppable!

I wanted to share this chest with you guys because I think it was a good one too! As you can see I opened 2 common,1 Rare card,1 Legendary potion and 509 DEC!
