Half Finish The Rare, Grind While The Clock Is Still Ticking

Another week has come, so I am back with my Splinterlands post. In this opportunity, I am doing the grinding up, getting more soulbound cards to enrich my units or my cards selection, especially the Rebellion soulbound cards.

Some of you might think why I keep doing this, updating the cards and many more. My answer is simple, because soon Conclave Arcana rewards edition will be released and these Rebellions will be out of print.

However the real question is not that one, it is why you have not done your best yet to get more soulbound cards.

I still see many casual Splinterlands players are not exploiting the benefit of having high level Rebellion reward cards. How do I know this? from tournament, rank battles and of course.. The Brawl. I still see many of my opponent have a lousy soulbound cards.

It is quite a paradox, because casual players want to have fun only without pushing themselves to spend more or play more. Will less playing, of course you will get less GLINT points and in the end you will get lousy reward cards. That's part of the reason why I like to talk about my soulbound cards, to encourage my lazy friend to play more...

Hey your line up become stronger... you get a competitive advantage there against new players... and All you need to do is to play more before they come and join this game!

Ok enough of my blabbering, let see what I could get better today

I have 90.000 GLINT points today and I choose to get 6 Gold Foil Rare ones. for Rare and Common, it is better we buy the gold foil directly instead of challenging the RNG God in Gold Foil drops from general cards purchase.

These cards look very good, I mean I get 4 fire element cards and it should be a sure leveling up card. The Drybone Megalodon is one of the cards on my hunt list. Overall this is a good purchase!

Leveling Up My Selection

Now I have 6 more cards, there should be some that can be leveled up. Let's see my selection for the Rare Rarity Rebellion soulbound cards, or rewards cards... whatever you feel comfortable to address them.

Honestly I feel awkward with this new visual. I still need time to get used with this. it is not about better or worse, it is plainly I am not used to this visual.

It is simple to check or search which cards can be leveled up. We can see the star or * next to the number of copies, which is shown below the card pictures. I have 3 cards that can be leveled up, so let see them one by one then.

Drybone Megalodon is funny one for me. Last month I had none of them. In the last 3 seasons, I have been searching for him and keep getting him in every Rare Rarity purchase. So within a month, this fish has reached level 4 and gets what I have needed on him, the retaliate ability.

Level 4 Drybone Megalodon is something you must have. 4 melee damage with a retaliate ability is a great feature for a melee tank. He is not the best melee tank, not the very strong one, however... Having him in your line up is opening some new meta or opportunity to exploit certain ruleset such as melee mayhem or melee unit ruleset.

Continuum Seer is one of the cards that I rarely use in any battle. Somehow I do not see any benefit in playing her, or maybe I should say that my meta are not align with her attributes and abilities.

She is not a bad card, I believe no reward cards that are bad. It is just not suitable with my gameplay.

The last one is dark Arborist. I get the higher level one with the magic reflect ability, this is a big step for me. Now she will be more useful during the magic only ruleset, or no range unit ruleset.

Although I am very happy this week with these new cards and the leveling up, I realize that the next one will be a lot more difficult. I might not get anything significant or any level up with just 5-6 new rare cards. The leveling up to level 4 and 5 require more copies so I will need more new cards.
