I believe Robin Hood is becoming a powerful force promoting cryptocurrency mass adoption!

Why? Robinhood is offering a choice: non-custodial and custodial cryptowallets

  • I wrote about this in my recent post, and here is an excerpt from it:
  • Most Large Financial Companies like RobinHood, Coinbase, Binance, Gemini and other very large finance companies have a company controlled wallet, where the cryptocurrency is under the locked protection of the companies password, which is also called the Private Key. So being able to have a self-custody wallet means having your cryptocurrency in your own wallet, and controlling the password or private keys.
Robin Hood is now going to offer it's 31.8 million customers the right to self custody their cryptocurrency, or protect and own it with their own set of Private Keys. Robin Hood is huge, and is a very busy fiat on-ramp to cryptocurrency, which is not restricted. 31.8 million people is a lot.
‘Robin Hood just announced, the wallet and already has a waiting list of 1.6 million people.

Robin Hood is offering cryptocurrerency adoption Your Way as in giving you a choice in how you want to get into cryotocurrency in small baby steps or big giant steps.
  • I think this type of choice is exactly what cryptocurrency and decentralization is all about; choice, small steps, big steps, giant steps, but the main thing is You Decide.
  • cryptocurrency and decentralization is more then a pill it's a multiple course meal.
  • We sould consume it at our own pace, our own speed, in a maner we decide and feel comfortable with.
  • Robin Hood is giving us that, and I think thats great!
  • I hope Robin Hoods 30 million active daily users feel that way too, because that's a huge amount of people being given a very easy, comfortable way to start entering the cryptocurrency ecosystem.
  • And I think this is wonderful.
  • What do you think?

5 years this has been happening to me, it started here, around people that are still here. Homeland security has done nothing at all, they are not here to protect us. Dont we pay them to stop shit like this? The NSA, CIA, FBI, Police and our Government has done nothing. Just like they did with the Havana Syndrome, nothing. Patriot Act my ass. The American government is completely incompetent. The NSA should be taken over by the military and contained Immediately for investigation. I bet we can get to the sources of V2K and RNM then. https://peakd.com/gangstalking/@acousticpulses/electronic-terrorism-and-gaslighting--if-you-downvote-this-post-you-are-part-of-the-problem

Excellent points about Robin Hood, they are not the enemy, but potentially an ally.

I hope they do good things with this wallet, and rehabilitate their image as a tool of tradfi shorters and robber barons.
But time will tell.
The proof is in the pudding

I am not opposed to Robinhood entering the space and making things easier but I can't really see them there for more than just profit. At least from how I view things, they are a publically traded company and they have to keep the stockholder's interest in mind. This might not be the thing we of the crypto community want though but that is why I want more different exchanges so people have the options to choose.

Ha HA Ha !

I agree, there probably is a profit motive, but as long as it is a win win I am okay with them making a profit.

I want more different exchanges so people have the options to choose

I agree competition is always good and I hope some other large exchanges step up to the plate, and it looks like COinbase may do just that...
