When Tweets Turn into Missiles: Trump Threatens Nigeria from His Phone

It seems that U.S. President Donald Trump doesn’t need national security meetings or intelligence briefings to decide the fate of nations — all he needs is a single tweet a cup of coffee and perhaps a TV show to remind him that the world still hasn’t “appreciated his greatness.”
In recent days Trump’s remarks threatening military strikes on Nigeria under the pretext of “protecting Christians” have sparked a wave of ridicule in political and media circles While Washington faces domestic crises ranging from inflation to unemployment Trump apparently chose to seek his hero moment in Africa — in a country thousands of miles away — simply because it “looks good on television.”

Politics for Trump seems like a never-ending reality show:
each episode comes with a new title — one day it’s China another day it’s Iran, and now it’s Nigeria. The audience is the same the set is the same and the line never changes: “I’ll do what no president has ever done before.”
And indeed no one before him has ever blended politics and self-promotion with such spectacular precision.
Ironically his latest threats came just a week after he declared that he “doesn’t want any more costly wars” leaving observers wondering:
Does he mean wars that require buying fuel for the planes?
Or are the wars that can be launched with a free tweet on X not included in the budget?
On the other side Nigeria expressed surprise at these statements emphasizing that relations with the United States “should be based on cooperation not fear”
But the word “cooperation” seems absent from Trump’s vocabulary — for him everything is either a deal or a punishment.
In the end Trump’s threat to Nigeria is hardly new in the context of his policies;
from “building the wall” to “protecting democracy with bombs” he has shown a rare talent for turning every humanitarian issue into a theatrical spectacle — where he appears as the self-proclaimed savior while his supporters applaud as if it’s a new episode of The Apprentice: Oval Office Edition.
Perhaps the real question isn’t “Will Trump carry out his threats?”
but rather “Is there any country left safe from his tweets?”
