RUNI: Did You Get WhiteListed?
The Runi Whitelist has come and gone. Just like all recent things in Splinterlands the all so familiar "Sold Out" will now appear before interested parties who venture to the RUNI section of the Splinterlands site . Currently (9/22/2022) the countdown timer on the RUNI page is showing 32:21:17:04. Which means in less then 33 days from this publication you will be able to "Summon Your RUNI". The Splinterlands community is a crazy bunch. First we buy out the GEM presale in under 2 minutes. We then buy out the Tower Defense Pack presale in less then a day of the presale being in existence. Now the RUNI whitelist has followed that same path of being sold out within the same day the Whitelist was launched. With all that is going on in Splinterlands it might not be possible for you to participate in every sale. Personally I have opted out of some of the recent presales and participated in some others. Did you pick and choose which sales to participate in or did you decide to participate in them all? Did you get yourself a RUNI Whitelist? Lets hear your thoughts on all the recent activity of presales/whitelist Splinterlands has provided its user base in such a short span. So I was lucky enough to get on the Runi whitelist.
Just a couple of little things... It is the Tower Defense cards, little typo there, and that 32 is days not hours... so it's a little over a month away.
Also, would you happen to know the process of minting? Will that happen inside the Splinterlands website or is there some other mechanism?

Mint Process
The Runi NFTs will be minted via a smart contract published to the Ethereum blockchain and will cost roughly $500 in ETH each. The exact amount of ETH will be fixed based on the current USD market price of ETH close to the mint date. This means that players who would like to mint a Runi will need to have enough ETH in a self-custodial wallet to purchase the Runi and to pay the applicable gas fees for the minting transaction. Players can mint as many Runi as they would like until the cap is reached.

Thanks! I guess we'll need to wait until more details come out about the exact process of minting. Personally I'm hoping it can all be done inside the Splinterlands website (since we had to connect our ETH wallet in)... but it's not a huge big deal if it can't.
I hope so too, I don't like the idea of claiming Splinterlands assets outside of the Splinterlands game. Inside game & outside would be ok.

Excellent 🙌🏻 Got one too. Very special Card which will easily go 3-5x from the 250$ Base during the next bullrun.
AND it is very usable in the Game. That is the most important, that such an NFT has a real usecase.
It's a max-level legendary with speed 1 and snipe. Probably the best card in-game for a reverse speed + blast damage battlefield. You put the RUNI at the second spot of the lineup behind a tank summoned by Summoner that grants additional melee damage and it will reign supreme. This is a no-brainer to #hodl one for renting out and one to play by myself.
So Tara would be Ideal. Thanks for the idea. 👍🏻
But are you sure you can rent this card? Am not sure about that. I also like that we own the artwork of the card and can use that too (profile pics etc).

There’s maybe even bit too much going on these days with all the presales etc.
I got myself a bunch of Riftwatchers since it’s a small series with great artwork.
Also was lucky to grab a spot for a Runi. Am very bullish on that since it’s such a limited card and a very special NFT. Could well go four-digit in the next Bullrun.

Definitely too much at once. I managed to get some Riftwatchers packs, Tower Defense packs, and also scored a Runi whitelist but only because I went with less packs than I had originally planned. It was a balancing act for sure
