You must have come across the story of a man who proposed to his GF after a 4 years relationship with an NFT engagement ring and got denied. It’s logical right now that anyone you propose to or rather any lady who is not crypto inclined or enthusiastic about crypto or NFT will definitely not accept an NFT ring for proposal. This is the norm right now in the world and no one will be cool with that.

Recently a couple got married on the metaverse, that is their wedding was conducted in the metaverse. Of course they did it in physical but also had their avatars on the metaverse copy their moves made in the physical. I’m sure if the husband had proposed to his wife with an NFT engagement ring she would accept because she is crypto inclined and also enthusiastic about crypto and metaverse like the husband. But that was not the case for the guy that proposed using an NFT engagement ring.

A man posted on Reddit that he proposed to his GF with an NFT ring thinking she was going to accept it, after the girlfriend has countlessly told him to stop investing his money on coins. She cried after being proposed to because she couldn’t believe that her bf of 4 years will do such thing to her and she said “No”. This is funny because few years ago, the sound of cryptocurrency would have been so funny and hard to believe. Imagine coming to take your money from who ever is owing you in 2009 and the person is like I don’t have money but I have bitcoin, take it and in 10 years time you could be extremely rich.

Yeah that is how the NFT engagement ring proposal sounds right? But let’s see and wait for what the norm will be like in 5 years. Now this is the idea I have, imagine an NFT engagement ring kind of proposal but also comes with an actual ring so it doesn’t feel awkward. I mean, who will be able to wear an NFT engagement ring, you can’t flip out your phone and show everybody anytime you want to show or tell people you are married. So giving an NFT Engagement Ring is cool but make it come with an actual ring, except the person is a stubborn thick head that thinks an NFT ring is enough to tell the world they are engage.

Just like the tungsten cube NFT that comes with an actual physical tungsten cube. It sounded like a great idea, because an NFT is a form of deed of ownership, so the NFT is the deed of ownership showing you own the cube. Just like it might get integrated in real estate, you get an NFT replica of your building or property when you buy a property to have a proof of ownership.

The world is constantly in a motion of change and we are the world, what ever we socially construct to be a norm becomes a reality. If we the people of the world agree to accept NFT engagement ring, you will see lots of people investing their life savings on engagement ring NFTs. The world is a crazy place and we are always coming up with crazy ideas. For instance who came up with the crazy idea of having an imaginary money you can physically see or touch but worth a lot that people can do anything to get it. Oh!! Yeah that’s Satoshi Nakamuto with the idea of bitcoin. Who came up with the idea that they can just embed a regular picture in a digital ledger called blockchain and all of a sudden they become so valuable they worth more than physical thing we can touch, see and feel. I have no idea, that’s a research for another day.

Imagine, people are currently ditching having physical property for digital properties now. Do you think that was possible 15 years ago, it would have sounded insane if you told some one 10 years ago that they could buy an imaginary plot of land on the internet for $2.4 Million. But that’s a reality and everyone wants one.

While most people saw the act by the person who proposed to his girlfriend with an NFT engagement as an inconsiderate douche bag act, according to wealth the story was made up and not real. This was after the story teller had received a lot of unpleasant message telling him how dumb he was proposing to his girlfriend with an NFT.
