Reviewing the performance of SplinterRents
Two weeks ago, I talked about setting up SplinterRents for automating my Splinterlands rental cards in this post. After that, I will evaluate how well it has worked so far after letting the bot work for a while and what else I had to do to get the service to work fully.
SplinterRents
SplinterRents is a Splinterlands rental service that runs through Discord. It automates the process and you don't have to give out posting key. Rather, you delegate out your posting authority over to SplinterRents and this means they never hold your keys. As everything is done through Discord, there is no UI and you have to go through the FAQ/text to learn everything you need to do. As I said before, if you want to set up your account using this service, you can refer to this post. I would like it if you use my referral code 782783772521267201 if you do and it would just give me a portion the service earns off your fees.
Current income
The value above is from PeakMonsters. It looks like the fiat value of cards continue to drop but my rental income is far higher than before. Before using the service, my income was around 700-800 out of 1k DEC per day. So as it stands, my income is 3-4 times what I was earning before.
Above, I have an invoice near the start of the season but it looks like the service does really badly at the start of the season. I wasn't expecting a revenue so low on the 2nd day of the season. The day before this and following this, I was earning around 1k DEC. So I would have to say that the service doesn't do that great near the start of the season but I have no complaints because it works out better on average. Another thing to note is that my total balance is negative. This is because I can prepay my balance ahead of time and then worry about the rest later.
The revenue they state in their statement doesn't exactly fit what I see in Peakmonsters so I wonder if they remove the 5% fees that Splinterlands takes before they put down your revenue. Either way, I think it works out quite well. Considering how it's been 2 weeks, I think the service has done quite well and it has at least doubled or tripled my rental income even if I include those days when my rental income was quite low near the start of the season. I did also earn a little bit through the referral revenue.
The only downside is that I had to manually go through and update my collections for which cards to rent out. It looks like it failed the batch call due to cooldowns and even when I fixed it up, I found some more cards that I have to change later on because there are some cards that I would still like to access to when I fight in ranked battles/brawls. It will take some time for me to make sure that I have all my cards available because this is a mixed battle/rental account.
Conclusion
While there are periods where the rental bot underperforms near the start of the season, the huge bump in rental income on average is still a huge plus to me. There are still some manual processes to fix up what is being rented out and not so it doesn't conflict with my battles but I will solve that over time. I think it's still something that has made my life easier and I am also earning more off my cards that I don't use.
Please feel free to leave a comment if you have any questions or feedback.

60% nice, I'm getting about 25% using the service. If I didn't have cards already rented out to specific players who been renting from me for months I would toss my main in the auto rental to see if it can beat the revenue I can garner manually. I think the auto service would earn me more overall but there is specific cards and times in which manual is better. I signed up under your referral link so hopefully you are getting that bonus. Currently renting at 656/703. The highest I had the account when listing manually was slightly over 1000 DEC but that was a one off. The time the auto rental bot frees up is nice and that alone is worth the cost of the service.
Yea the service is nice and you can choose what cards you want to rent out or not through a spreadsheet. It's a bit manual so it won't affect you if you want to keep some cards to battle/delegate out. However, it's manual so it might take some time to get all the cards right with trial and error.

I hardly like the use of automated servicing, when it comes to renting, but this seems pretty decent. I feel like the since it requires just active keys, then I can live with that. Meanwhile you have some decent returns, 1k DEC is pretty good.
This service does not require you to give out any keys. All you have to do is give posting authority to the account through PeakD.

It looks like overall it is a positive move that you have made using SplinterRents

Yea I think it was a positive move overall. It's working out quite well even if there are a few days without that great of an income. It moves up and over half of the season is over 2k DEC each day.

Check out the last post from @hivebuzz:
Setting up a seperate account will save the headache, I guess if you use NEOXAG then you can do it in fraction of 3 Hive price.(i.e 1500 NEOXAG)
I have a few account creation tokens so I can always make one without it. However, I just prefer to just do everything out of one account right now. I may change that in the future though to make things easier.

Yea it's been working out well so far. I think a rental bot frees up a lot of time. I like it also because I don't have to give them my keys.
