This thing should be kept in mind that there is no competition among Hive dapps.
I think there isn't, if there is any, it's a healthy competition pushing one and the other to improve. All the dApps are doing their own contribution to the Hive ecosystem which is great.
As a developer, though not a hive developer yet😀, I think you are right about helping each other grow, as broad knowledge is needed for each developer and also helping each other will bring great accomplishment.
