Tips : How to Promote Your Posts
Being an author on Hive, you may sometimes struggle with the exposure for your posts to get a few sweet upvotes. But I think we have a few different options as well with the help of which we can promote our posts.
If you are also someone who is a newbie and struggling with your post exposure, here are a few tips that could help you promote yourself and your posts earning you fair rewards.
LeoThreads
Leothreads is a short form content on LeoFinance which has been introduced just recently. Besides other things like sharing your thoughts, asking questions, you can also share your post links on LeoThreads for promotion.
Don't worry, it's free.
If you haven't yet tried LeoThreads, go and check it out.
Social Media
Social Media could be another tool with the help of which you can promote your posts. There are multiple social media platforms like Facebook, Reddit, Twitter etc but the I believe most of the Hive community is there on Twitter.
If you could use the right tags while sharing your post link in a Tweet, you may have a better chance of grabbing some views and rewards for it.
Do try to connect with the Hive community over there.
- Sharing your posts on Twitter is not only helping you promote your posts but you can also earn Posh tokens as well as Hive in rewards for it. Posh is a Proof of Sharing project initiated by @acidyo in an attempt to incentivize users promoting Hive on platforms like Twitter. You can register with POSH at Hiveposh.com.
In Dapp Promotion
Users can promote their posts on Dapps like Ecency, LeoFinance and probably others as well.
Like on Ecency, posts can be promoted with the ecency points while on LeoFinance it could be promoted with paying Leo.
Engagement
This one is even more productive I guess. Engagement is a tool that could really help you build your brand for yourself.
Engagement is something that could help you grow your profile visits, followers and obviously your posts.
It's good to take some time out, leave post related meaningful, thoughtful comments on posts from different authors.

I use leothreads and engagement on Hive. I think they work best because they can be used to arouse/attract organic interest to our profiles. Plus, they are within the Hive ecosystem.
Thank you.

I am trying to understand how to post on #leothreads... Is it just to use the hashtag?
Just paste your post link and confirm.

Thank you
Using LeoThreads is like making a comment on a long-form post. Whatever you can type in 240 characters or less can be put in a thread. Just keep in mind that Markdown codes and (at least for now) URLs are part of the 240-character count.

Now I understand. Thanks a lot for this information
Besides LeoThreads, there is the D.Buzz microbloging dApp as well as the Hive equivalent of IG, LikeTu. They can also be used to promote one's posts.
Ecency has various pricing options for promoting posts. One option is for 7 days at 500 Ecency Points. 500 EPs is more or less equivalent to 1.000 HIVE. LeoFinance doesn't have a list of pricing options for post promotion, but for 7 days enough LEO to equal 1 HIVE should be paid. It could be similar for other tribal front-ends.
