Travel around the world 53 Leeuwarden Deu\Eng

Hallo liebe Community,
eine weitere Ausgabe meines Blogs travel around the world. Mittlerweile sind wir schon bei Ausgabe 53 und kein Ende ist in Sicht. Gut dass ich schon viel rumgekommen bin 😉.
Heute reisen wir nach Holland und machen eine kleine Schiffsreise. Im Jahre 1990 pünktlich zur Fußball WM mitsamt Weltmeistertitel weilte ich mit einer Jugendgruppe der evangelischen Kirche auf den Grachten Hollands. Inklusive WM Spiel Deutschland - Holland in einem holländischen Pub. Hier konnte ich die legendäre Spuckattacke sicher noch intensiver erleben als in Deutschland vorm heimischen Fernseher.
Es waren 10 tolle Tage und mein erster richtiger Urlaub ohne Eltern. Werde ich nie vergessen.

Hier meine Karte unserer Reise, die ich damals gezeichnet habe. Los ging es in Leeuwarden durch die Grachten bis zur Nordsee.

Auf dem Weg zu den Nordseeinseln mussten wir zwar kräftig an Bord mit anpacken und Segel setzen. Aber für ein Sonnenbad war auch immer wieder Zeit. Manchmal warfen wir Anker und gingen schwimmen, inklusive Sprung vom Seil ins Meer, wie Tarzan!

Wie das Wetter in Holland so ist, wurde es auch manchmal recht kalt und stürmisch. Da suchten wir an Deck jeden möglichen Windschutz 😆.

Auch an den zahlreichen Schleusen mussten wir immer wieder kräftig mit anpacken und kurbeln was das Zeug hält. Nach dem Urlaub waren meine Oberarme sicher doppelt so dick.

Hier unser guter Alter Einmaster. Wie ich den vermisse, würde ich liebend gerne nochmal machen so eine Tour.

Aber sicher werde ich irgendwann mal wieder in Holland die Windmühlen betrachten können. Vielleicht schon diesen Sommer? Wir werden sehen. Bleibt gespannt.

Hello dear community,
another issue of my blog travel around the world. Meanwhile we are already at issue 53 and no end is in sight. Good thing I've been around a lot 😉.
Today we travel to Holland and make a small boat trip. In 1990, just in time for the World Cup including the World Cup title, I stayed with a youth group of the Protestant church on the canals of Holland. Including the World Cup game Germany - Holland in a Dutch pub. Here I was able to experience the legendary spitting attack even more intensively than in Germany in front of the TV at home.
It was 10 great days and my first real vacation without parents. I will never forget.

Here is my map of our trip that I drew back then. We started in Leeuwarden through the canals to the North Sea.

On the way to the North Sea islands, we had to help out on board and set the sails. But there was always time for sunbathing. Sometimes we dropped anchor and went swimming, including jumping from the rope into the sea, like Tarzan!

As the weather in Holland is, it also got quite cold and stormy at times. There we looked for every possible wind protection on deck 😆.

Also at the numerous locks, we had to grab again and again vigorously with and crank what the stuff holds. After the vacation my upper arms were surely twice as thick.

Here is our good old one-master. How I miss him, I would love to do such a tour again.

But for sure I will be able to look at the windmills in Holland again sometime. Maybe already this summer? We will see. Stay curious.
