Dalthin Ironhood and Prince Julian - Splinterlands Art Contest 355

En esta oportunidad he venido a presentar mi nueva entrada al concurso de Splinterlands, para esta oportunidad he decidido dibujar a Dalthin Ironhood en compañía del pequeño príncipe Julián, esta vez me he inspirado en una fotografía que vi en Pinterest de un abuelo llevando a su nieto en hombros, así que decidí un poco replicar esta pose con estos dos personajes, no tal cual, pero si sirvió bastante de inspiración.

This time I have come to present my new entry to the Splinterlands contest, for this opportunity I have decided to draw Dalthin Ironhood in the company of little Prince Julian, this time I have been inspired by a picture I saw on Pinterest of a grandfather carrying his grandson on his shoulders, so I decided to replicate this pose with these two characters, not as is, but it served as inspiration.

Dalthin Ironhood es un enano que vivía en las profundas minas de minerales y metales preciosos, cuando el imperio del Caos ataco ellos se atrincheraron porque notaron que el imperio estaba interesado en sus riquezas, desde ese momento comenzó el asedio, pero sus grande puertas de hierro los mantuvieron totalmente aislados del mundo exterior, sin embargo en algún punto algunos trabajadores enanos comenzaron a desaparecer, y fue Dalthin quien estuvo a la cabeza para liderar la búsqueda, y cuando descubrieron su final, rogaron que hubieran muerto y no el final que tuvieron siendo infectados por la corrupción micelial, con sus cuerpos llenos de los brotes de aquellos hongos que controlan a quienes antes fueron sus compañeros, la interminable prole de la reina Micelia sigue atacando y día con día los enanos pierden mas terreno.

Dalthin Ironhood is a dwarf who lived in the deep mines of minerals and precious metals, when the Chaos empire attacked they barricaded themselves because they noticed that the empire was interested in their riches, from that moment the siege began, but their big iron gates kept them totally isolated from the outside world, however at some point some dwarven workers began to disappear, and it was Dalthin who was at the head to lead the search, and when they discovered their end, they prayed that they had died and not the end they had been infected by mycelial corruption, with their bodies full of the outbreaks of those fungi that control those who were once their companions, the endless offspring of Queen Mycelia continues to attack and day by day the dwarves lose more ground.

El Príncipe Julián lleva en sus venas el mas valioso tesoro de los Gloridax, la sangre de Fuego, y es uno de los que tiene en mayor medida este tesoro en sus sangre, pues nació de un huevo que fue puesto por el dragón de la sabiduría hace 90 años, y aunque este pequeño no tenga la apariencia física propia de su especie y aunque aun es muy joven se considera que tiene una mente privilegiada con un enorme poder heredado por su sangre.

Prince Julian carries in his veins the most valuable treasure of the Gloridax, the blood of Fire, and is one of those who has more of this treasure in his blood, as he was born from an egg that was laid by the dragon of wisdom 90 years ago, and although this little boy does not have the physical appearance of his species and although he is still very young is considered to have a privileged mind with an enormous power inherited by his blood.

Aunque este pequeño tiene una gran responsabilidad sobre sus hombros, y tendrá el liderazgo de todo el Clan Gloridax, todavía no es mas que un bebé berrinchudo con un o dos momentos de lucidez propios del ser en que se convertirá en el futuro, a Dalthin Ironhood se le ha prometido ayudar con su actual situación con la infeccionan micelial y una de las tareas que se le asignado a cambio es llevar a salvo a el Principe con su cuidador el visir Gyortius del Alto Consejo de Gloridax.

Although this little one has a great responsibility on his shoulders, and will have the leadership of the entire Gloridax Clan, he is still no more than a tantrum baby with a moment or two of lucidity characteristic of the being he will become in the future, Dalthin Ironhood has been promised to help with his current situation with the mycelial infection and one of the tasks assigned to him in return is to bring the Prince to safety with his caretaker Vizier Gyortius of the High Council of Gloridax.

A pesar de conocer al clan Gloridax se le dio poca información del pequeño, quien en su entorno normal es consentido hasta el mas mínimo capricho, Dalthin poco experimentado en misiones de este estilo no sabe como interactuar con el pequeño, y durante toda la misión tiene que tolerar el carácter de Julián, sin saber que este mismo sera quien tendrá las respuestas que terminaran por acabar con la reina micelia y toda su prole.

Despite knowing the Gloridax clan, he was given little information about the little boy, who in his normal environment is spoiled to the slightest whim, Dalthin little experienced in missions of this style does not know how to interact with the little boy, and throughout the mission has to tolerate the character of Julian, not knowing that this will be the one who will have the answers that will end up ending with the queen Micelia and all her offspring.

Por eso al contrario de la imagen que tome como referencia en la que abuelo y nieto disfrutan de un paseo al aire libre, este par se encuentra en medio de una de sus tantas riñas, Datltin hace todo lo posible por controlar al príncipe, sosteniendo su báculo para evitar mas golpes, pero este va directamente por sus orejas gritando de ira.

Los situé en medio del bosque, como una de las vías mas seguras para llegar a su destino, entre los caminos que están resguardados por los Gloridax y aunque Dalthin solo piense que lo están timando y solo les hacia falta una niñera esta decido a cumplir su misión

So unlike the image I took as a reference in which grandfather and grandson enjoy a walk in the open air, this pair is in the middle of one of their many fights, Datltin does everything possible to control the prince, holding his staff to avoid more blows, but he goes straight for his ears screaming in anger.

I placed them in the middle of the forest, as one of the safest ways to reach their destination, between the paths that are guarded by the Gloridax and although Dalthin only thinks they are scamming him and they only need a babysitter, he is determined to fulfill his mission.

En cuanto al color para esta ilustración, tome los colores originales de cada una de las cartas, y la adapte a la iluminación del entorno natural que dibuje, fue una ilustración que disfrute mucho hacer y aunque tuve que tomar pausas mientras la hacia por cosas que estaban pasando por acá, estaba ansiosa por volver y terminarlo.

As for the color for this illustration, I took the original colors of each of the cards, and adapted it to the lighting of the natural environment that I drew, it was an illustration that I really enjoyed doing and although I had to take breaks while doing it because of things that were going on around here, I was anxious to get back and finish it.

Durante la grabación del coloreado del fondo olvide darle play al programa y no logre documentar nada de esta parte del proceso de esta ilustración, es una de mis partes favorita, porque es justo en este momento que toda la ilustración adquiere sentido, para este fondo quería un bosque muy tupido a lado y lado del camino, por eso dibuje muchos troncos que luego fui llenando de pequeñas hojitas.

During the recording of the background coloring I forgot to play the program and I didn't manage to document any of this part of the process of this illustration, it is one of my favorite parts, because it is right at this moment that the whole illustration makes sense, for this background I wanted a very dense forest on both sides of the road, so I drew many trunks that I then filled with small leaves.

Y así ha quedado la ilustración final para esta semana de concurso, el ultimo detalle que dibuje fueron los finos rayos de sol que se cuelan entre las hoja e ilumina a este par, que espero se conviertan en grandes amigos.

And this is the final illustration for this week's contest, the last detail I drew were the fine rays of sunlight that sneak through the leaves and illuminates this pair, which I hope will become great friends.
