I've been writing lots of stuff lately. Some if it has been published (on Hive, on Twitter, in PDF files), but not all. (I have journals and notes and freewrites and junk, besides my published stuff...) I really do enjoy writing. I've also been reading a lot and listening to tons of music. I'm ENJOYING my life. Is that bad? Is that hedonistic? According to some philosophies (particularly religious ideologies) enjoying your own life is evil. SINFUL. I'm a sinner...

But I'm also a shamanic skeptic. (I've been to the Land of the Dead and come back, but I also don't believe in the Land of the Dead!) I know that time is limited. I know there are good things that CAN happen in this life - in this world.

If I love watching crappy "ghost" videos on YoooTooob, shouldn't I? (It's research! I'm a writing guy and an art dude, so I get my ideas from reading and watching shows and listening to podcasts and music. These ideas and stories and sounds crawl into my head and roll around, and then my BRAIN-GUY (the person on the inside) feeds on these things and uses the energy to make WEIRD STUFF, like these words... and like these ART pieces... Yah?

Work is a four letter word. (I've written that many times.) I love just chillin' out and listening to tunes. Good fun! (Fun is good, but GOOD FUN is super-fun!)

I suddenly had a flash of anger over the idea of "investing" in art. (It was irrational, but I'm not always rational, so that makes sense.) For me, "investing" is about accumulating "wealth." ART, however, is not as important for economical value but for the EXPERIENTIAL value one gets from making / viewing / interacting with a work of art. LIVES are essentially meaningless, until the individual living the life CREATES a story for themself. The quality of art that I most connect with is the ability that an interesting image or written work or song has to conjure a story that I can weave into MY OWN tale.

Look... In terms of existence, how much of what you DO (and think) is based on artificially constructed expectations delivered by society. What are your motives? How much of what you do is programmed vs free will??? (We will discuss these concepts...) (Someday... Eventually...)
