Splinterlands Art Contest Week 310 | Naga Warrior 🐍⚔🛡

Good afternoon my dear people, my name is Manuel and as always it is a great pleasure to have you here for my art blog, this time I will share a new participation for the dynamics of this week in the community of #Splinterlands, and it is a representation of the letter or rather the character of (Naga Warrior), which are a kind of tribe quite particular with extremely disturbing and gloomy customs, the Naga are extremely fierce warriors, capable of fighting to the last consequences, and once they defeat their opponents have the habit of eating them.

Here I will show you part of the creation and painting process and I hope you like it:

Muy Buenas tardes mi querida gente, mi nombre es Manuel y como siempre es un gran gusto el tenerlos por aquí por mi blog de arte, en esta oportunidad les voy a compartir una nueva participación para la dinámica de esta semana en la comunidad de #Splinterlands, y se trata de una representación de la carta o mejor dicho del personaje de (Naga Warrior), los cuales son una especie de tribu bastante particular con costumbres sumamente perturbadoras y tétricas, los Naga son guerreros sumamente fieros, capaces de luchar hasta las últimas consecuencias, y una vez derrotan a sus adversarios tienen la costumbre de comérselos.

Aquí les enseñare parte del proceso de creación y pintado y espero les guste:

I started sketching and capturing my idea in strokes with a more frontal structure, since my idea is that the character was like moving towards the viewer by a path full of water and weeds in a swamp or something like that; I also tried to give the character a strong appearance, strong and of course a cold and gloomy look and expression on his face. Later for the painting process I took my time to choose the right colors, for the skin for example I used a range of peach and light brown tones with quite soft brushes to represent a much more feminine and stylized skin with some touches of blush on cheeks and nose.

Inicie bocetando y plasmando mi idea en trazos con una estructura un poco más frontal, ya que mi idea es que el personaje estuviese como desplazándose hacia el espectador por un camino lleno de agua y maleza dentro de un pantano o algo por el estilo; también trate de darle al personaje una apariencia bastante fuerte, fornida y por supuesto una mirada y expresión fría y tétrica en su rostro. Posteriormente para el proceso de pintado me tome mi tiempo para elegir los colores adecuados, para la piel por ejemplo use una gama de tonos durazno y marrón claro con pinceles bastante suaves para representar una piel mucho más femenina y estilizada con ciertos toques de rubor en mejillas y nariz.

In the 2nd part of the painting I focused more on working the expression of the face for my character, and in transmitting that dark and evil personality that normally have the (Naga Warrior), in the eyes I used tones like orange and yellow and try to make them quite thin and elongated; then in the case of the lips I painted them with enough volume and left visible the fangs coming out of the upper lip. With the hair I tried to work with green tones like jade, pasty green and a little bit of blue color, as always I start painting the hair by creating a solid structure with a flat brush and then little by little I add more and more colors and varying the brushes until I have a relief that I like and then I apply what would be the high shines in the crown area.

En la 2da parte del pintado me centre más en trabajar la expresión del rostro para mi personaje, y en transmitir esa personalidad tétrica y malvada que normalmente tienen las (Naga Warrior), en el coso de los ojos use tonos como los naranjas y amarillos y trate de hacerlos bastante finos y alargados; luego en el caso de los labios los pinte con bastante volumen y deje visibles los colmillos saliendo del labio superior. Con el cabello trate de trabajar con tonos verdes como el jade, verde pastoso y un poco de color azul, como siempre inicio el pintado del cabello plasmando una estructura solida con un pincel plano y luego poco a poco voy agregando mas y mas colores y variando los pinceles hasta tener un relieve que me guste y así si aplico lo que serian los brillos altos en la zona de la coronilla.

For the lower body of the (Naga Warrior) the idea was to replicate a snake body, and for this I took a few soft yellow and very light green tones and with the airbrush I tried to give a more tubular volume and structure to create her legs as if they were like the body of a snake. With respect to the clothes I used a few gray tones from the intermediate to a little lighter gray, the idea here is that the clothes of the (Naga Warrior) were like bandages, in the part of the bust I left the neckline slightly uncovered and painted up to the middle of the ribs; then in the part of the waist I painted a little more fabric as above, and for the arms and neck I created some very bright polished metal bracelets with which this creature is protected from attacks and cuts.

Para la parte baja del cuerpo de la (Naga Warrior) la idea era replicar un cuerpo de serpiente, y para esto tome unos cuantos tonos amarillos suaves y verdes muy claro y con el aerógrafo trate de dar un volumen y estructura más tubular para crear sus piernas como su fuesen como el cuerpo de una serpiente. Con respecto a la ropa use unos cuantos tonos grises desde el intermedio a hasta un gris un poco mas claro, la idea aquí es que la ropa de la (Naga Warrior) fuesen como especies de vendajes, en la parte del busto deje el escote levemente descubierto y pinte hasta la zona media de las costillas; luego en la parte de la cintura pinte un poco más de tela como la de arriba, y para los brazos y cuello cree unos brazaletes de metal pulido muy brillantes con los cuales esta criatura se protege de ataques y cortes.

I painted the shield with brown and gray tones, in the case of the middle part of the shield my idea was to create the shape of the shield as if it were made of a fairly thick and resistant wood, and with the gray tones I created a kind of metal ring to reinforce the structure of the shield; then for the painting of the sword I used several of the gray and blue tones to create a big and powerful weapon, in the case of the edge I used much lighter gray tones and a little bit of not so pure white to give that sharp effect to the blade of the sword. Finally I arrived to the background painting, here as I mentioned before I had the idea of creating a kind of swamp scenery, with darker and darker shades of green I was chopping weeds and bushes in the middle to the bottom of my canvas, then I created some trees in the distance and crossed in the middle of the swamp; and finally with light tones I created a small and turbulent lake to better set the atmosphere of the swamp.

El pintado del escudo lo realice con tonos marrones y grises, en el casos de la parte media del escudo mi idea era crear la forma del escudo como si estuviese hecho de una madera bastante gruesa y resistente, y con los tonos grises cree una especie de aro metálico que reforzara la estructura del escudo; luego para el pintado de la espada use varios de los tonos grises y azules para crear una grande y alidada arma, en el caso de los borde use tonos grises mucho mas claros y un poco de blanco no tan puro para darle ese efecto filoso a la hoja de la espada. Finalmente llegue al pintado del fondo, aquí como les comenté ante tuve la idea de crear una especie de escenario de pantano, con tonos verdes cada vez mas oscuros fui pitando maleza y arbustos del medio hasta el fondo de mi lienzo, luego cree algunos árboles a lo lejos y entre cruzados en el medio del pantano; ya por último con tonos claros cree un pequeño y turbulento lago que ambientara mejor el pantano.
