Splinterlands Art Contest Week 249 -- Queen Mycelia

Good afternoon my dear people, happy midweek to all of you and as always I welcome you to another one of my drawings, today I am here to share with you what is my last participation of the week for the Dynamics of #Splinterlands; I spent several days thinking and searching among the cards of the game to try to vary a little and do something different from my last participations for the Dynamics and that is why I decided to choose the card (Queen Mycelia) to base my participation. This card is about a character who is a kind of creature formed by fungi in a natural way, someone who lives in the depths of the mountains; this creature has consumed a noble woman and thanks to this it has taken a form and appearance very similar to that of a human:

Buenas tardes mi querida gente, feliz mitad de semana para todos y como siempre les doy la bienvenida a otro mas de mis dibujazos, el día de hoy estoy por aquí para compartirles lo que es mi última participación de la semana para la dinámica de #Splinterlands; estuve varios días pensando y buscando entre las cartas del juego para tratar de variar un poco y hacer algo diferente a mis ultimas participaciones para la dinámica y es por ello que decidí escoger la carta de (Queen Mycelia) para basar mi participación. Esta carta trata de un personaje que es una especie de criatura formada por hongos en forma natural, alguien que habita en las profundidades de las montañas; esta criatura ha consumido a una Noble mujer, y gracias a ello adopto una forma y apariencia muy similar a la de los humanos:

I wanted to print my personal touch to this illustration and what I did was to draw her in full body style, it occurred to me that being a Queen I could create her sitting on a kind of big throne, but in a pose a little more relaxed and a little irreverent to give her a different touch; I tried to make her with a more or less slim build and unlike the letter I tried to give her a lot of details and a much more human appearance. As for the colors on this occasion I opted for a little paler tones, as in the skin for example where I used a soft purple tone with a tendency to pink tones; in volume it was not very complicated since I dedicated myself to use brushes like watercolor and airbrush for a better softness in strokes and a more subtle mix of textures.

Quise imprimirle mi toque más personal a esta ilustración y lo que hice fue dibujarla a estilo de cuerpo entero, se me ocurrió que al ser una Reina podía crearla sentada en una especie de gran trono, pero en una pose un poco mas relajada y un poco irreverente para darle un toque diferente; trate de hacerla con una contextura más o menos delgada y a diferencia de la carta trate de darle muchísimos detalles y una apariencia mucho más humana. En cuanto a los colores en esta ocasión me decline por tonos un poco más pálidos, como en la piel por ejemplo donde use un tono morado suave con tendencia a los tonos rosados; en volumen no fue muy complicado ya que me dedique a usar pinceles como la acuarela y el aerógrafo para una mejor suavidad en trazos y una mezcla más sutil de las texturas.

The painting of the eyes and the targets and mushrooms that come out of his mouth and chest I did them entirely with raspberry tones, here I applied a more demarcated texture to give a better appearance to the mushrooms of the mouth; for the painting of the eyes I used more varied brushes and I focused on giving them a very bright and striking appearance. In the next step I dedicated myself to create the hair, which, although in the card you can't see any hair, even so, I wanted to give my work a human shape as much as possible; for this I used many light purple tones and I got very close to the gray tones, both to make a slight difference with the skin and clothes, and also to achieve a more platinum and highlighting hair.

El pintado de los ojos y las dianas y hongos que salen de su boca y pecho los hice enteramente con tonos frambuesa, aquí si aplique una textura un poco más demarcada para darle una mejor apariencia a los hongos de la boca; para el pintado de los ojos si use pinceles más variados y me centre en darles una apariencia muy muy brillante y llamativos. En el siguiente paso me dedique a crear el cabello, que, aunque en la carta no se logra apreciar cabello, aun así, a mi obra si quise darle una forma lo más humana posible; para esto use muchos tonos morados claros y me acerque muchos a los tonos grises, tanto para marcar una leve diferencia con la piel y la ropa, como también para lograr un pelo más platinado y resaltante.

The process of creating the clothing of the (Queen Mycelia) was a bit longer, here I worked in many more layers and folders since the clothing of the character is very varied, the first thing was to give a basic shape to the dress and for that I painted in the upper part a kind of blouse or sleeveless nightgown of very thin and delicate fabric; and for the lower part of the body I created a kind of tight suit that gave the impression of being part of the same legs of the character, that is to say as if they were part of the same skin. I worked the textures in a more varied way and giving special attention to each section, for example, for the upper part after finishing with the blouse what I did was to print a little petal pattern on it; and for the lower part I created some leaves of vegetation and green mushrooms looser on the sides of the legs.

El proceso de creación de la indumentaria de la (Queen Mycelia) fue un tanto más largo, aquí trabaje en muchas más capas y carpetas ya que la vestimenta del personaje es muy variada, lo primero fue darle una forma básica al vestido y para eso pinte en la parte alta una especie de blusa o camisón sin mangas de tela muy fina y delicada; y para la parte baja del cuerpo cree una especie de traje ajustado que diera la impresión de ser parte de las mismas piernas del personaje, es decir como si fuesen parte su misma piel. Trabaje las texturas de manera un poco más variada y dándole especial atención a cada apartado, por ejemplo, para la parte alta luego de terminar con la blusa lo que hice fue imprimir un poco de patrón de pétalos en ella; y para la parte baja cree lo serian unas hojas de vegetación y hongos verdes más holgadas a los lados de las piernas.

For the end I gave the shape to the throne where the mushroom Queen is sitting, for this I went to the simplest and created the throne with wood texture, I used many shades of brown, chocolate and yellow to create what would be the structure of the throne as if it were made of wood; and for the back of the throne and the seat I used red to give a little more elegance. Finally, I gave a little complement to the scenery, as if it were set in the depths of the earth and mountains in which Queen Parasito has always lived; I also added some reddish toxic mist floating in the air and illuminated her eyes a little to give a touch more gloomy to the character.

Ya para el final le di la forma al trono donde se encuentra sentada la Reina hongo, para esto me fui a los más simple y cree el trono con textura de madera, use muchos tonos marrones, chocolate y amarillo para crear lo que seria la estructura del trono como si fuera hecho de madera; y para la parte del espaldar del trono y el asiento si use color rojo para dar un poco mas de elegancia. Por último, di un poco de complemento al escenario, como si este estuviese ambientado en las profundidades de la tierra y montañas en las cuales la Reina Parasito siempre ha habitado; también agregue un poco de neblina toxica rojiza flotando en el aire e ilumine un poco sus ojos para así darle un toque algo más tétrico al personaje.
