Splinterlands Art Contest Week 338 - Tenyii Striker Fan Art Ink Drawing Anime Style [ENG-SP]

Hello dear alien friends and artists who are fans of Splinterlands, I hope you are all doing well. I want to share with you my contribution for this week's contest. I used the Tenyii Striker character card as a reference, who seems to me to be an extraordinary warrior. This week I was watching a lot of anime set in samurai Japan, so I was inspired to make some changes to the original character, who wields a powerful sword. I created my fan art using only ink, both a marker and a pen. I hope you like it.

Hola queridos amigos aliens, y artistas que son fanáticos de Splinterlands, espero que todos se encuentren muy bien. quiero compartir con ustedes mi aporte para el concurso de la semana, he tomado como referencia la carta del personaje Tenyii Striker el cual me parece un extraordinario guerrero, esta semana estuve viendo muchos animes ambientados en el Japón samurái así que tome la inspiración para hacerle algunos cambios al personaje original el cual tiene una poderosa espada. He realizado mi fan art solamente con tinta tanto de marcador como de bolígrafo, espero que les guste.

Since the drawing this time would be in ink only, I used a very light graphite pencil to do the sketch. I reviewed several mangas for inspiration and added details like samurai warriors, especially the katana, which has a curved blade at the tip, making it so deadly. Here, I instead made the hair long, in the style of the warriors featured in Naruto.

Como el dibujo esta vez sería solo en tinta utilicé un lápiz muy claro de grafito para hacer el boceto, estuve revisando varios mangas para tener una inspiración y ponerle detalles como los guerreros samurais, especialmente la katana, la cual tiene una hoja curva en la punta y que la hace tan letal. Aquí en lugar hice el cabello largo al estilo de los guerreros que salen en Naruto.

After making the sketch, I began to make the lines with the ink of a ballpoint pen. It would be like a first layer, this to locate the drawing well on the paper and then change to a fine-tipped marker where the ink is a little looser and deeper.

Después de hacer el boceto comencé a hacer los trazos con la tinta de un bolígrafo, sería como una forma de primera capa, esto para localizar bien el dibujo en el papel y luego de eso cambiar a un marcador de punta fina donde la tinta es poco más suelta y profunda.

Next, I continue painting with the pen. Once I've covered a certain part of the drawing, I switch to the fine-point marker to use the deeper black of this pen to further highlight the dark areas. My goal is for it to look like a manga illustration, so I paint the hair entirely black, leaving some small areas unpainted to give the appearance of light reflections.

Seguidamente sigo pintando con el bolígrafo, una vez cubierto cierta parte del dibujo, cambio al marcador punta fina para utilizar el negro más intenso de este lápiz para marcar aun más las partes oscuras. Mi objetivo es que se vea como una ilustración de manga, por el eso el cabello lo pinto enteramente de color negro dejando algunas partes pequeñas sin pintar para que parezcan reflejos de luz.

I'm also painting and drawing parts of their clothing. Samurai also wore armor when they went into battle. Beneath that armor, their clothing also served to protect them from possible battle wounds.

Así también voy pintando y dibujando parte de sus ropajes, los samurais utilizaban también una armadura cuando iban a las batallas. Debajó de esa armaduran sus ropajes también servían para protegerlos deposibles heridas de batallas.

Next, I begin drawing the katana, first with a pen, then with a marker to shade and bring out the sharp edge of the sword's blade. Also with the marker, I add more shading to the folds of the warrior's uniform. That's how it's finished.

Después comienzo a dibujar la katana, primero con el trazop de bolígrafo para después con el marcador sombrear y sacar el efecto del filo de la hoja de la espada. También con el marcador hago más sombras en los pliegues del uniforme del guerrero. Así quedó finalizado.

What did you think of the result? Did it look like a manga character? There are more details these warriors have, but they would be a bit more difficult to achieve, for example, the small katanas they have at their waists, which always accompany the large combat katanas. Qué les ha parecido el reusltado? Quedó como si fuera un personaje de Manga? hay más detalles que poseen estos guerreros pero que sería un poco más dificil hacer, por ejemplo las katanas pequeñas que tienen en la cintura y que siempre acompaña a las katanas grandes de combate. Me gustó mucho como quedó, sin duda que el bolígrafo es una gran opción para dibujar. No olviden comentar que les ha parecido, me despido hasta pronto.
