Drawing the Lava Spider for the Splinterlands Art Contest

Hiiii, in my post yesterday I shared how I totally forgot to pack my coloured pencils and this has led to me being unable to make or share works. Yesterday I came across a friend with a number of coloured pen and I decided to try something with it (just to experiment). For the test what I drew was the Joker and I noticed certain colours blended well with the paper so I carefully selected them and went through my archive of #splinterlands characters to find one that encapsulates this and give a coloured pencil effect.
Not very surprisingly, the colours Yellow and Red which stood out of the pack were an essential part of the Lava Spider.
I wasted no time in getting to work and after I was through, I added a floating background. To depict that the spider was midair and over a body of water that has a piece of land in the far distance. It might not be too obvious but it was something.
