Splintertlands Art Contest Digital Art '' Barthalamas ''

Hello, everyone 😊 Im excited to share my new digital artwork, created using Krita, I designed Barthalamas.

Born in the scorching fires of elemental power Barthalamas exists as an Emberborn Titan without the traditional forces that shape life. Barthalamas comes from the ancient tribe of the Crimson Pyre which has its history recorded in fiery whispers that burn through time to etch his legend into the forgotten worlds.
The life force in his body ignites with divine power to create a sentient furnace protected by muscles and ligaments that bear the markings of an ancient order of warriors. The movement of his body creates waves of heat which emanate through the environment while the blood within him continues to run like molten metal beneath his bronze-colored skin. His hair displays the essence of fire with writhing movements that mirror the dancing flames surrounding his powerful presence.

My original work features the artwork named “Barthalamas.” The piece embodies strength alongside passion and the fiery spirit beyond warrior characteristics. Throughout my creation process I aimed to depict a character who transforms into fire itself while retaining its wild and brilliant fire nature.
The character displays an upright stance combined with a powerful demeanor and lacks fear. The artist created this character with a structured body which perfectly reflects his dedication to training and warrior lifestyle. His physical form along with his facial expression combine to communicate his story. In his expression we see not arrogance but the peaceful self assurance of someone who has triumphed through numerous battles. His fire does not show uncontrolled anger as it follows his commands to circle him while serving as a devoted protective animal.
His fiery nature only shows itself when he chooses while remaining under his complete control. His control over fire extends to the ability to shape his flames into intricate patterns which show his mastery of the element. When he unleashes his full power the flames extend beyond his physical form to blanket the area with their intense heat. The flames appear in a controlled form around him because they exist as a vital part of his being.

Main Artwork

The person's body was deliberately surrounded by flames which seemed to possess life. Through multiple layers of bright orange, yellow, and red hues I created dynamic fire motion that encircles his body. The energy of the scene rises from the golden sparks which seem to react directly to his vital signs. His hair moves with the intense power of fire presenting itself through its bright and vivid nature. The royal, fire like and traditional meaning of red and gold was chosen on purpose for his attire. The mythic character gains a cultural anchor through the braided belt and ornamental elements which add a grounded dimension to his appearance.

The character named "Barthalamas" exceeds the definition of a fictional personality. His existence represents the unyielding strength that exists within every person to maintain their inner passion. Through his presence he teaches people to embrace their fire rather than let it become a source of fear or doubt. The combination of passion together with control and resilience creates a single soul that burns with intense heat.

I’m a person who loves creativity and self-expression. Singing and digital art are two of my biggest passions. I’ve also completed a graphics design course and enjoy using my skills to bring ideas to life.

Currently, I’m pursuing studies here in Portugal and working part-time. Balancing these roles has been an exciting challenge that’s helping me grow both personally and professionally.
