Splinterlands contest- Naga assassin 💚

Hello my dear all friends. How is everything? Is everything alright? I am doing very well and I hope you all are doing great too. I am back again after a very very long time. Today I had a gathering with my friends from high school. And when I came back home, we had guest. My sister and lovely niece stopped by to visit us. We spent a very great time together and I asked my lovely niece to select a card for me to draw for this week’s art contest, I always ask her to select the cards whenever they visit us. It is a somehow a challenge for me. I opened the website so that she could see all of the cards since the beginning of the game, sh looked at the cards and selected a card which is named naga assassin. She used to select the feminine and beautiful cards. I think she is becoming more interested in warrior character because of the action movies she is watching nowadays.

Unfortunately I missed my chance to participate in the two or three last weeks’s art contests of splinterlands because I was very busy with my classes. I was also thinking of finding a new way to draw my illustration. I wanted to improve my art works so I worked on my arts to get it better. When I made the outline of my drawing, I decided to remove the circle gold frame which I used to draw around the characters. back then, I thought it is good and makes the painting look amazing but then I realized it is becoming too ordinary. I wanted something new.

The characteristics of this character, naga assassin, that I like the most is the expression of his face and how her hair is flowing in the air.

There were several gestures that I had in my mind for this character but one thing that was common in all of them was that I wanted the character to have a dagger in her hand and the other thing that I wanted to be bold too was the hair. I wanted it to be flying in the air just like it is in the card. I added the base color, and used an airbrush to color the drawing. You know, I always had a problem with drawing the hair, it became looking unnatural every time until few days ago I found a cool brush in a website and now it is so much easier to draw the hair. Some ideas come to us in the beginning of every drawing and some others come when we are working on it. Things like gestures come at first and thing like the light and shadow comes in the end or while we are working at the moment. When I was coloring the dagger this ideas came to me to draw blood on the dagger as she has assassinated someone. Haha. When I completed the illustration I used thick red lines and I think it just looks better with it . Maybe I just can’t let go of drawing the frame and I always find a way to draw it somehow.
