Splinterlands Community Engagement Challenge- Favorite Strategy

Hello friends, hello hivians, hello splinterlands community and hello game lovers, it’s that time again where we share our splinterlands content. In this week’s community challenge, we write on our favorite strategies.

Splinterlands is a game of strategy as we know and as such you have to come up with team selections that will allow you to get the better of your enemies. When you play the game consistently, you pick up strategies that you realise work best for you in a lot of situations. I have stumbled upon some of these strategies but for some of the strategies I love to use, I had to sit down and think a little bit.

I would have shared my favorite strategy which involves the Immortalis summoner but I have spoken about that on a few occassions so kindly allow me to talk about another strategy. This one has to do with the death element. I kind of stumbled on how powerful this strategy was.

_{Astral Entity}

Mainly, the summoner I select for this summoner is what makes it work most of the time. I use the Astral Entity summoner which gives my first monster to die the ressurect ability and gives all my monsters the phase ability. It particularly works best when the ruleset that I have to work with is close up and personal where only melee monsters are used in battle. The phase ability which the summoner brings helps you to dodge a lot of melee attacks.

I also like this strategy because I pair it with Cursed Windeku who has the thorns ability. This summoner at the level I rent it gives my cursed Windeku the healing ability which makes it even stronger.

Even in situations where my enemy brings non melee monsters, I usually bring a martry card in first position so that it is killed first and my Cursed Windeku gains +1 stats twice with more health and more damaging melee attacks coupled with the healing.

With splinterlands, selecting a very strong summoner does not guarantee success because you have to select a right or balanced team to take advantage of the summoner you have selected. Your enemy's team selection may be better than yours but with a weaker or less powerful summoner but because you didn't select a good team despite going for a powerful summoner, you lose. So, summoner selection and team selection is just as important.

This strategy became one of my favorities because it has helped me win a lot of battles. At the start I didn't really take notice because I didn't know Cursed Windeku to have healing properties. But I realized soon enough the level of the summoner allowed that ability to be expressed.

I would advice all players who do not make use of this Astral Entity summoner to either purchase it or rent it like I do and see the benefits for themselves. I hope you do because I know you'd enjoy it.
