As many of you know, Tomb Raider is one of my favorite videogame sagas, since some time ago I was with the idea to pass old titles of the franchise as well as to complete again those I already played, so now I want to start a new Tomb Raider adventure and in a way this time I want to complete its story in the right way, it's time to start with Tomb Raider Legend, this title I remember I played it years ago but in its GBA version and it can not be compared with its PC version, also if I remember correctly is precisely the first of a kind of trilogy where would come the Anniversary and finally the Underword so it's perfect to start this trilogy.
In this first title we started our adventure in some ruins in Bolivia, if I remember correctly in this title we visited several countries which would be the levels, something incredible is how despite being a title with almost 20 years old looks really good, even has a new generation visual option which gives an improvement in terms of colors, shadows and effects of the environment, like all start of Tomb Raider the first moments are simple to learn the controls and although we have initial cinematic, for now does not show a direct relationship with the adventure and is more a memory of Lara as a child.
The controls are simple, it may be a little strange the combination of buttons that come by default because they are buttons that we are not used to use and rarely used by default in any video game, but after a while of playing you get used to them quite well, also although we have many moments of action, these titles mostly shone for their puzzles and adventure, something that is curious is that we do not have an option to run, just walk and walk with stealth.
Another interesting aspect in this title is how we can simply have an additional weapon to the iconic guns with infinite ammunition, we can pick up the weapons of the enemies when they drop them when they die but if you already had a second weapon, you will drop it when you pick up a new one, also to get ammunition is achieved when the enemies drop their weapons when they die, A clear difference to previous titles where you could carry a variety of weapons with you and also the ammunition was obtained as a special object on the map instead of being obtained by defeating enemies, although it is a little more realistic only to be able to carry two weapons, it is also a bit boring, but it gives that aspect of strategy to know how to manage the ammunition of the secondary weapon because the guns besides causing little damage also has a very high dispersion.
After exploring a bit to reach the ruins I had to defeat several mercenaries and overcome several obstacles, although the biggest of all ended up being a water well where I had to dive, the underwater control is quite rare plus Lara runs out of oxygen very quickly so the time you can dive without dying is very short, This combined with its peculiar control makes it really tedious and a little stressful to have to overcome submerged paths, plus the vision is very little, in the end I ended up going around almost in circles and managed to reach the other side of the tunnel without having noticed and thinking that I had only made a turn in a circle, but at least I managed to continue with the adventure. Although the puzzles that appear at the beginning should be very easy, the truth made me think for a few moments and that was simply to move 3 boxes, this is what always excites in every Tomb Raider where you know that the puzzles will really make you think and often the solution can be very unexpected.

Como muchos sabrán, Tomb Raider es de mis sagas de videojuegos favoritos, desde hace un tiempo estaba con la idea de pasar antiguos títulos de la franquicia así como también volver a completar aquellos que ya haya jugado, por eso ahora quiero comenzar una nueva aventura de Tomb Raider y de cierto modo esta vez sí completar su historia de la forma correcta, es momento de comenzar con Tomb Raider Legend, este titulo recuerdo que lo pase hace años pero en su versión de GBA y no se puede comparar con su versión de PC, además si no recuerdo mal es precisamente el primero de una especie de trilogía en donde vendría el Aniversario y por ultimo el Underword así que es perfecto para poder comenzar dicha trilogía.
En este primer titulo comenzamos nuestra aventura en unas ruinas en Bolivia, si no recuerdo mal en este título visitamos varios países los cuales vendrían siendo los niveles, algo increíble es como a pesar de ser un titulo con casi 20 años de antigüedad se ve realmente bien, incluso tiene una opción visual de nueva generación la cual le da una mejora en cuanto a los colores, sombras y efectos del entorno, como todo inicio de Tomb Raider los primeros momentos son sencillos para aprender los controles y aunque tenemos cinemática inicial, por ahora no muestra una relación directa con la aventura y es mas un recuerdo de Lara cuando era niña.
Los controles son sencillos, puede resultar un poco extraña la combinación de botones que vienen por defecto ya que son botones que no acostumbramos a usar y rara vez se utilizan por defecto en algún videojuego, pero luego de un tiempo de juego te acostumbras bastante bien a los mismo, además aunque tengamos muchos momentos de acción, estos títulos mayormente brillaban por sus puzles y aventura, algo que si es curioso es que no tenemos una opción para correr, simplemente caminar y andar con sigilo.
Otro aspecto interesante en este titulo es como simplemente podemos tener un arma adicional a las icónicas pistolas de munición infinita, podemos recoger las armas de los enemigos cuando las sueltan al morir pero si ya tenias una segunda arma, la dejaras caer al recoger una nueva, también para conseguir munición se consigue cuando los enemigos dejan caer sus armas al morir, una clara diferencia a los títulos anteriores donde podías cargar una gran variedad de armas contigo y además la munición se conseguía como objeto especial en el mapa en lugar de conseguirse al derrotar enemigos, aunque es un poco mas realista solo poder cargar dos armas, también resulta un poco aburrido, pero le da ese aspecto de estrategia para saber administrar la munición del arma secundaria debido a que las pistolas además de causar poco daño también tiene una dispersión muy alta.
Luego de explorar un poco hasta llegar a las ruinas tuve que derrotar a varios mercenarios y sortear varios obstáculos, aunque el mayor de todos termino siendo un pozo de agua donde tenia que bucear, el control debajo del agua es bastante raro además que a Lara se le agota el oxígeno muy rápido por lo cual el tiempo que puedes bucear sin morirte es muy corto, esto combinado con su control tal peculiar hace que sea realmente tedioso y un poco estresante tener que superar caminos sumergidos, además la visión es muy poca, al final termine dando vueltas casi en círculos y logre llegar al otro lado del túnel si haberme dado cuenta y pensando que solo había dado una vuelta en circulo, aunque al menos logre proseguir con la aventura. Aunque los puzles que aparecen al inicio deberían ser muy fáciles, la verdad me hizo pensar por unos momentos y eso que simplemente era de mover 3 cajas, esto es lo que siempre emociona en todo Tomb Raider en donde sabes que los puzles realmente te harán pensar y muchas veces la solución puede ser muy inesperada.
