I had some time sit down and actually play some video games which is something I have not gotten to do in a long time. I was excited to see there were some remastered games for Switch so I had to buy Resident Evil 4.

Resident Evil 4 on the Nintendo Switch is a solid survival horror game that fans of the genre will definitely enjoy. I had a bit of nostalgia replaying this game switch. Fans of the series will see the gameplay is intense and the story is engaging, with a mix of horror and suspense that keeps players on the edge of their seats. The controls, while not perfect, are functional and the use of the Joy-Cons' motion controls adds an extra layer of immersion to the gameplay experience.

It was released in 2005 for the GameCube and was later released for other platforms, including the PlayStation 2, Xbox 360, and Nintendo Switch.

In the game, players control Leon S. Kennedy, a special agent who is sent to a rural village in Europe to rescue the President's daughter, Ashley Graham, who has been kidnapped by a mysterious cult. As Leon, players must fight their way through the village and its surrounding areas, battling hordes of mutated villagers and other enemies as they try to uncover the truth behind the cult and its connection to a deadly virus.

The Switch version of the game is not without its flaws. The graphics, while still impressive, do not quite match up to the high standards set by more recent releases on other platforms. Additionally, some players may find the controls to be a bit clunky at times, particularly when aiming and shooting.

Resident Evil 4 on the Switch is a good game, but it may not quite live up to the expectations of some players. That being said, it is still a solid survival horror game that fans of the genre and original game will definitely enjoy. I liked the added convenience of being able to play it on the go which is a benefit of the Switch.

If you played the original and the Switch version let me know which you liked more. I'm a fan do the newer switch version personally.

I'd love to get a portable gaming device, but I am not sure how my wife would feel about that. I haven't owned a console since the Wii and the PS2. It's pretty rare that I even play games anymore. I miss WoW from time to time, but I know I would get sucked into it too easily. Wow, you are a posting machine today! Taking advantage of the holiday break?

My wife is a switch fan see thinks if I get a PS5 I will not be as attentive which is a fair argument so I choose not to get one.

The problem of many NS games are due to the NS itself, the hardware itself is not the big thing, therefore several of the games that carry or create for it must be super optimized or even a downgrade must do so that the NS can lift it, a high-end phone can emulate NS without problems, I guess when a NS user complains, well he is right xd

It was a favorite on PS2 for me too. That't why I had to play it. I ended up beating all the extras too. I'm playing through on pro now.

The Survival Horror classics are made and have aged well for the old school, the new school, have the remakes of these classics, I say this because it is not possible to compare a classic with new generation games, that's why the different companies are releasing remakes of these games, for the new or younger consumers.

Resident Evil 4 is the perfect mix between Survival Horror and action, it's a shame that from there (with game 5 and 6) they lost their way completely.

I'm just playing it again with a texture mod and spanish audio and it's been as rewarding as ever. I used to play it on Playstation 2 and now I play it on pc :3

Same here! The only other game that I find more nostalgic is Final Fantasy.
