PIZZA 2 Brawl Report -2 June 2025

Greetings everyone, the latest brawl which my guild PIZZA 2 participated in had ended approximately just about a day ago and it is time again to look at how our guild did for this brawl on all aspects such as a guild, individually how each of the brawl matches went for me and the thoughts and decisions made behind how I put up each of my lineup to face my opponent based on the rulesets.

Conclave Arcana frays are live, the modern fray is no longer Chaos Legion and Rebellion but now it will be Conclave Arcana and Rebellion. Because of the lack of Conclave Arcana cards, I had to change fray and because everyone else were snatching for the wild fray, the only available that I think I can handle is the bronze wild fray though in terms of cards, I know I am not ready. Without further ado, let's move to the various matches.

Brawl 1

	Remarks
Selection:	Counter spell weak magic and healed out. This is like a sign of asking for no magic attackers to be placed in the lineup. However, I still chose to field my favourite Oshannus but this time, I had more fire power from Sand Worm to fight alongside Kulu Mastermind. Swamp Spitter is there for armour regen.
Outcome:	Win! While it might look like that I will lose the match, I had all the elements required and a careful planning of the cards to field, I overcome the odd and clear out all the weapon learner from the back and made sure they didn't had much opportunity to grow till out of proportion.

Brawl 2

	Remarks
Selection:	High Five, What doesn't kill you and heavy metal. I planned for a heavy hitting lineup with Megaladon holding the tank with Flameblade striking from 2nd position and the rest with plenty of of fire power from long distance.
Outcome:	Lose. While I knew what I think it is the outcome, but things didn't fall into place as I was steamrolled by Marisol whom grew and have speed that is so fast that I wasn't able to take it down and got overturned till every of my card was being cleared out. Well done from my opponent whom had this going.

Brawl 3

	Remarks
Selection:	Weak Magic, Holy Protection and Equalizer. This time round, again I fielded my trusty lineup which is exactly the same one as my match 1 lineup because this had been a lineup that performs well in multiple ruleset and situation.
Outcome:	Win! They did not disappoint against a very strong life splinter lineup which had double gladius and very strong Gladius in Marisol and Katie.

	Remarks
Selection:	Silenced summoner, are you not entertained and back to basics. When such a combi comes and it is hard to choose, I maximize mana and just ensured I had enough to run through all slots and enough to hold the front.
Outcome:	Win! Somehow this cheeky way of putting up the lineup worked and I won especially when I had a big range hitter that struck for 4 damage with ease. Remaining mages also continue sending attacks with ease to opponent to secure the win.

	Remarks
Selection:	Silenced summoner and thorns. All mages for this but I had to plant in my Quora since the thorns probaby won't hurt her. To cause more pain to my opponent, I fielded failed summoner to return some magic damage.
Outcome:	Win! A Quora is strong, a Quora backed by a healer is even stronger. And that was the gameplan as we cleared out a very strong lineup with ease.

	Remarks
Selection:	Fog of war, beefcakes. Not a lot of mana at my disposal, took the risk and fielded Oshannus and Tatiana Blayde whom is really strong as well. Let's see if we can get it right.
Outcome:	Win! Just the right combination as Oshannus slowly chip away Dryone Barbarian with the aid from Tatiana.

Guild Final Tally

I was assigned 9 matches for this brawl and won 5 out of the 9 matches. There were 3 fleeing opponent and 0 additional wins from unfilled frays. Opponent had a strong plan for the match I lost, a good lesson learned for me as I remember how to setup this.

My gosh, this is bad. We almost dropped all the way to the end. I guess we still need to rough it out in terms of our gameplay and collection to embrace the new frays and to be able to field correct in frays that we did not play as often in the past. Time to relook, readjust and restrategize how we gonna fill up and get better with our frays. Go PIZZA 2!
