Splinterlands Social Media Challenge

source
Hi splinter fam,
Welcome to my blog. We are already half way through the week and here I am again with my splinterlands social media entry. For this challenge I will be writing about my battles like I usually do.
We are almost half way into the new season and things are looking good. The last time I said it'll take me a little while to break into the leaderboard and well yeah I did it. I am 23rd at the moment and we have 9 days to go. For some reason I feel like the glint leaderboard is not competitive enough. This might be attributed to the fact that people dont actually like being rewarded in glint. In the past people used to get Dec rewards for making it into thr leaderboard. I think if it was the dec rewards like people will be more interested in it as well.
Well, for me I just enjoy being in the top players which means being in the leaderboard. If you ask me if I prefer the glint or dec leaderboard I'll definitely say that I prefer being in the dec leaderboard era.
One complicated part about spl is that the only real value you can earn from the playing battles is by winning sps. In the past we had sps in the loot chests but now that we dont have it even the loot chests are not exciting to open. I for one was totally against the total removal of sps from chests. Maybe rewards in these chests could have been reduced drastically.
Enough of the dec and sps matter. Let's talk about a battle that I played today. As I have said and I am still saying, my plans for the game has changed drastically. I dont play as much as I would love to but I do put in a good number of games whenever I get the opportunity to do that.
Let's get into the battle that I want to talk about. In this particular battle i was presented with the 3 rulesets. This time it was the aim true which means that all units gain true strike; with this ability attacks never miss. Next eas fog of war which also meant that all the units will loose their sneak, snipe and opportunity abilities. This will mainly affect melee cards with these abilities and also range cards as magic cards will still attack from what ever position.
Lastly was the high five ruleset meaning that we can only use up to 5 units in this game.
The game mana was 38 which was very favorable for a game like this. Having the high 5 ruleset meant i wouldn't have to think about more mana to add a 6th card. So this is how I lined up for the battle.
For my summoner, I went for my ever lovely risqruel drath. This summoner has turned into one of my most beloved summoners. This is because with a summoner like this I have the tuant and redemption ability. Having it is a life saver cause I'll definitely be using it in combination with my oridum graybrow.

The risqruel drath is a fire card with 7 mana. It allows you to combine the fire and life element cards in your battle.
It grants the flying ability to your cards and also a plus 1 range attack card to your cards. It allows you to choose between 2 sets of abilities as well. You can choose to use the true strike and impede or redemption and taunt ability. I prefer using the redemption and taunt ability cause with the ordium card its a good move to make.
So I went in for drybone megalodon, chaos golem, orbidum graybrow, mad kaboomist and inept healer as my only healer card to do the job.

The game was a fairly straightforward game and I won in 3 rounds. You can have a look at how things went in the link here.
