Hi splinter fam,

Welcome to my blog for this week's entry into the splinterlands engagement challenge. A few days ago I made my social media entry and as usual i spoke about my battles and how I was able to win that battle in particular. I do that for two reasons. One of them being when I write about my battles I get to relive the experience and in that vain I get to have the memory stored in my brain on how I was able to navigate a type of ruleset that I came against. The second reason being i am able to help others understand a complicated ruleset as well.

This week ive been able to make it to the leaderboard quite early into the season. I say its quite early cause I usually don't put in 100 battles writhin a few days for the past couple of weeks. Maybe the reason being when I looked through how I played last season I didnt like it and as such I opted to make things better this season. I can't say that I am back to my old playing self but then I know I have improved from a couple weeks ago. One funny thing that I've also noticed about my game play is that it seems I am able to put more games in faster. I couldn't do that a few months ago. For some weird reason I could take 3 to 4 hours to deplete my energy. This days with the way i am playing faster I guess it should take me half that time which is 2 hours to deplete my energy.

So in this week's engagement challenge, I am going to be talking about a particular ruleset. A ruleset in splinterlands is one that determines how both players will position for the game. What a ruleset requires is what the player must do. There are a few rulesets that wont force you to play a certain type of way but then there are others that will force you to choose certain cards and play a certain type of way as well. Imagine your favorite card to use is quora Townsend. But you also need to remember that quora is a gladiator card and as such youll only get to use it when the gladiator ruleset display in battle. Without this you can't use quora.

In the game of splinterlands there are rulesets that one will like and there are others that one wont like. Even if you don't like a particular ruleset you need to study how to do It as well. For me I tend to like a lot of ruleset but then if I'll be very candid in my answer then it'll be the having to play a game and then the earthquake appears. The earthquake ruleset means that all non flying units take a -2 physical damage at thr beginning of the match and then after round 2. What this basically means is that your cards should have the flying ability to be able to prevent the ruleset from affecting you.

One might ask why I tend to like this ruleset when it only brings about defects. Well if you do have tbis summoner then you don't need to care about what this particular ruleset does. The risquel drath is a summoner which has the flying ability and tend to grant ones cards all this ability. With this summoner you don't need to care about the ruleset cause all your cards will have the flying ability.

This is one of my games where I encountered this particular ruleset and then how I was able to navigate it. If your fortunate to fast an opponent who doesn't have the summoner you counter that earthquake ruleset then you already have an upper hand in battle.
