New Foils: Black and Arcane!
Splinterlands players were used to two card rarities, Regular Foil and Gold Foil, with the biggest change being in the design and rarity of Gold Foil and its bonus rewards in ranked battles. However, with the arrival of the 6th card collection - Conclave Arcana - among the 82 new cards we will have new foils coming to the web3 game, with new borders, animations and more exclusivity.
The first foil released and which was the biggest news of this collection is the Black Foil. Here we have the first card that will have this new foil, which is Jicarilla The Rime, and as you can see, it has darker borders and backgrounds and in the lower left part a collection number. These Black Foil cards will be obtained randomly in the Conclave Arcana packs of types above Starter packs and cannot be combined since they will be at max-level.
These cards have some characteristics similar to the gold foils, such as being able to be used in Brawls and Tournaments when it is necessary to use the gold foils. However, it has some bonuses and benefits that are even better than a gold foil, such as: double the reward bonus in ranked battles of 20%, while GF is only 10%; it has half the cooldown of GFs in Survival Mode, you can use it more often, causing a great impact and it has the same multiplier as Beta Cards (5x).
The new type that bears the name of this new set is Arcane, which comes in Gold Foil Arcane and Black Foil Arcane variations. The difference with this type is the visual effect of some runes appearing and shining on the cards and of course the collectible number that will bring the exclusivity of the card, making it above average rarity.
These cards in the Arcane versions will be extremely exclusive since there will only be a maximum of 50 Gold Foil Arcane per common card, with a minimum of 5 for the legendary ones. As for the Black Foil Arcane, the difficulty of obtaining them will be even greater, with 20 copies for the common ones and only 1 copy for the legendary ones. I believe that these exclusives will make many players buy the packs in search of the luck of obtaining one of these rarer cards.
General Sale with Cheaper Packs!
These new cards and rarities will be available in the presale from April 22nd to May 11th, with 500k Standard Packs, 100k Alchemy Packs, and 50k Legendary Packs. The general sale will take place on May 13th and aims to sell or burn all packs within 300 days, since if a minimum of packs are not sold, 90% will be burned and 10% will be sent to the sps.dao account for future use. The total number of packs in this phase will be 4.5m standard packs, 900k alchemy packs and 450k legendary packs.
The big news about this sale is that since the entry-level set (Chaos Legion) will rotate out of Modern Format, a way for new players to enter the game without having to spend so much up front would be necessary. With this, the Starter Packs appear, which will cost 1k dec or $1 in credits and will only have common and rare cards and regular foil, with the main objective being a way for players to get in. Novos Foils: Black e Arcane!
Os jogadores de Splinterlands estavam acostumados com duas raridade de cartas, Regular Foil e Gold Foil, sendo que a maior mudança é no design e raridade da Gold Foil e seu bônus de recompensas nas batalhas ranked. Entretanto, com a chegada da 6ª coleção de cartas - Conclave Arcana - dentre as 82 novas cartas teremos novos foils chegando ao jogo web3, com novas bordas, animações e mais exclusividade.
A primeira foil divulgada e que foi a maior novidade dessa coleção é a Black Foil. Aqui temos a primeira carta que terá esse novo foil que é a Jicarilla The Rime, e como você pode notar, ela tem toda borda e fundos mais escuros e na parte inferior esquerda um número de coleção. Essas cartas Black Foils vão ser obtidas de forma aleatória nos packs do Conclave Arcana de tipos acima de Starter packs e não poderão ser combinadas já que estarão no max-level.
Essas cartas tem algumas características semelhantes as gold foils, como poder der usadas nos Brawls e Torneios quando for necessário usar as gold foils. Entretanto, tem alguns bônus e benefícios que chegam a ser ainda melhores que uma gold foil, como: o dobro de bônus de recompensa nas ranked battles de 20%, enquanto GF é apenas 10%; tem metade do tempo de recarga que as GFs no Survival Mode, podem usar ela mais vezes, causando um grande impacto e tem o mesmo multiplicador que as Beta Cards (5x).
O novo tipo que leva o nome desse novo set é o Arcane, que vem nas variações Gold Foil Arcane e Black Foil Arcane. O diferencial desse tipo é o efeito visual de algumas runas aparecendo e brilhando nas cartas e claro o número colecionável que trará a exclusividade da carta, deixando ela com uma raridade acima da média.
Essas cartas nas versões Arcane serão extremamente exclusivas já que só existirá no máximo 50 Gold Foil Arcane por carta comum indo à um mínimo de 5 para as lendárias. Já para as Black Foil Arcane a dificuldade de obter será ainda maior com 20 cópias para as comuns e apenas 1 única cópia para as lendárias. Acredito que essas exclusividades vão fazer com que muitos jogadores comprem os pacotes buscando a sorte de obter uma dessas cartas mais raras.
