Splinterlands Demand and Supply Low…

The card market may seem to have the lowest prices in years but take a careful look at the supply one should realize that this may only be temporary.
Looking through the alphas, betas, and untamed I noticed how many of the legends and some epics are in single digit supplies. This is likely because there are enough players holding long term to limit the open market supply. Just imagine a handful of new players with some income coming in and making several purchases. Prices will moon based on the limited supply.
Even in Chaos set there are less than 100 of each legendary in the current open market. If the demand picks up just a little the card prices will eventually soar! The question is not if prices will rise but when!
Reminder once land 1.5 rolls out there will been players locking up max level legendary cards which will make the supply dwindle even more.
Then there is the possibility of players burning cards for DEC as the need for staking DEC in order to lock up cards in land 1.5. The last town hall we were made aware of the land update was coming out very very soon.
There is so many ifs but the end result is likely a lower supply of cards and in turn higher prices due to higher demand.
Until next time thanks for reading!!!

One more reason for holding the good cards is because the Tower Defense game will be released in the coming weeks.
If I'm not misunderstanding, players can put the monsters in the Towers to give Towers extra effect and clean the wave easier.
less supply = higher prices. Just wait for the right time.

The low supply sucks but I wonder if some of the people holding those cards have lost their keys or stopped playing.

Could be but there would need a lot of players forgetting their keys !LOL !WINE

I agree the supply is low, but with Rebellion right around the corner I find it hard to believe anyone will have a large interest in non-modern cards (including Untamed). Maybe land 1.5 drives some demand but it all depends on what the returns will be.
It is running very good time if one buys then he will have very good profit within some time to come.
