Hi guys, this is Lucky Ali, and I hope you are doing well. This is another Splinterlands community engagement challenge. This time again, the theme is very interesting, and it is basically playing a battle against the tough rules and explaining your counter strategy so that users can learn more. This particular theme is amazing, and as demanded, I have delivered it, and also, there are other users who did it, so congrats to them. Here you can see three difficult rules: blood and sunder, shades of gray, and high five. Why am I saying these rules are difficult? Because as you can see, all the rules are restricting players' ability, for example, armors, card placement, and limiting the teams.

Despite limitations, how you play and counter the opponent is the most important thing, and this is what is called a smart strategy. I am not saying that only my strategy is smart, but at least I can set better counters after playing lots of battles in the past few years, so it is all about experience. There are many more different strategies that you can also try if not this one. It is all about trying different strategies in tough situations. Now, without more discussion, let's break this strategy down.

Battle Rules

Blood and sunder: This rule prevents you from using armor; however, you can use it, but your main target should have more health instead of depending on armor
Shades of gray: This can be most challenging for you because you can only use neutral cards. So make sure you have some stronger neutral monsters.
High five: You can use only 5 units, and this is also a challenging battle rule. In this case, use only the most powerful cards without trying different strategies

How can you choose a team for such a battle? (New players focus more)

Sr. No.CardInstruction
1.Most powerful magic attack monster in neutral, which I have been using for a very long time. This card is used at first because of more health, magic reflect, and void abilities. It can protect against magic attacks and, since it has more health, so good against ranged and melee attacks too
2.Scavenger with tank heal means killer combination. This card does not have any attack, but in defense, this is amazing. My main target is to have more health because I had limited slots in the battle for cards, and also, the rule is against the armor.
3.We need an attacker too, and in sneak cards, this one is, most powerful card. Can you see that? This sneak monster has 6 melee attacks, and this thing is enough to prove its strength. I have added this card to must-have list for the wild players only
4.The card has both ranged and melee attacks, and at the same time, a double strike ability. That is why this is a very strong card, and it is also useful for the first position at the end of the battle. The only problem is the higher mana cost of this card, but I don't consider it a problem.
5.This is the most powerful ranged attack monster with the tank heal and thorns ability. It is the best card against the sneak attack cards, so you must put it last. It has three attacks and also 12 health. It is important for both attack and defense

The Battle

BATTLEhttps://splinterlands.com/battle/sl_f37223639cd5497a0a71449b9830b4ec

Round 1 - No loss
Round 2 - No loss
Round 3 - Opponent lost sand worm
I lost cornealus
Round 4 - Opponent lost Clockwork aide and ulundin overseer
Round 5 - Opponent lost Uraeus and Arkemis the bear
I lost prismatic energy
I WIN

There were three cards left: Draybone Raider, gelatinous cube, and sand worm. So, it is all about saving health and, at the same time, powerful attackers. If you are just focusing on saving health, but you do not use attackers, then you may lose the battle, so understand and apply carefully. As you can see, I have focused on both things. I have used powerful attackers like Sandworm, Drybone Raider, and Kornealus. Sand worm is a sneak melee attack monster with 6 attacks. Do you understand what 6 attacks mean? Cornealus has thorns and 3 ranged attacks, which means another stronger monster. Drybone raider has both ranged and melee attacks with a double strike ability. Prismatic energy is also a great attacker because it has 2 magic attacks.

I have avoided these things in battle

So when you get battle with Blood & Sunder, Shades Of Gray, and High Five rules, you just need to follow some steps. The first step is to focus on selecting cards with more health, the second step is to include some powerful attack monsters that I have used, and the third step is to focus on defense by adding tank heal, scavenger, and heal ability monsters. So if you are a new or even an older player and do not know this, then read this carefully, watch the battle again to understand it in detail. Because learning is most important, and after learning, getting experience is the next step.

Conclusion

This is the battle with Blood & Sunder, Shades Of Gray, and High Five, and for that, I have used cards like Prismatic Energy (level 6), Gelatinous Cube (level 6), Sand Worm (level 6), Drybone Raider (level 1), and Cornealus (level 2). I hope you understand the strategy, but still, if you have a question, then discuss it with me in the comments. I liked that you used all the old OG cards in here, especially the Sand Worm, Cube and Cornealus. Glad that you are doing well in wild. Keep practicing and clib that trophy ladder.
