Rebellion Soulbound: No More 1.5x Glint Influence on Progress Stats
Almost a full day until the end of the ranked play season at Splinterlands, and it's time to see my progress on maxing out my Rebellion soulbound reward cards. Normally, I would have done it tomorrow, but Friday is a fixed day in my posting routine.
First full season after the end of year 1.5x Glint boost, to see how progress goes without any Glint bonus (other than the ones I can earn through gameplay).
So, let's see what I did with the Glint this season.
I had no Glint to purchase more legendary draws this time around, but I was able to buy all 25 epic draws, 100 rare draws, and 400 common draws. I still have 5,436 Glint in my stash to use next season.
That makes it easy to see how much Glint I earned this season (including the season rewards from last season). That makes it a total of 322,500 Glint used for draw purchases this season (+5,436 remaining in my stash for a total of 327,936). Last season I had a total of 462,500 Glint in purchases. That means I spent 140,000 less Glint this season, after the 1.5x Glint bonus lost its effects on these stats fully.
Let's keep a table too, going forward:
Season since New SB Set | Glint Used to Purchase Draws | Difference |
---|---|---|
Season 5 | 363,200 | |
Season 6 | 344,400 | -18,800 Glint |
Season 7 | 352,700 | +8,300 Glint |
Season 8 | 341,850 | -10,850 Glint |
Season 9 | 328,100 | -13,750 Glint |
Season 10 | 427,500 | +99,400 Glint |
Season 11 | 462,500 | +35,000 Glint |
Season 12 (current) | 322,500 | -140,000 Glint |
Last 3 seasons' average | 404,167 |
Let's see what my current situation of the Rebellion SB set completion progress is so far:
Season since New SB Set | Commons % | Rares % | Epics % | Legendaries % |
---|---|---|---|---|
Season 1 | 1 / 0 | 2 / 0 | 8 / 0 | 9 / 0 |
Season 2 | 2 / 1 | 2 / 0 | 9 / 0 | 17 / 0 |
Season 3 | 3 / 1 | 2 / 0 | 10 / 0 | 23 / 0 |
Season 4 | 5 / 2 | 3 / 1 | 12 / 0 | 27 / 0 |
Season 5 | 7 / 2 | 4 / 2 | 13 / 0 | 36 / 0 |
Season 6 | 8 / 3 | 5 / 2 | 15 / 0 | 42 / 0 |
Season 7 | 9 / 3 | 6 / 2 | 15 / 0 | 51 / 0 |
Season 8 | 10 / 3 | 7 / 2 | 17 / 0 | 58 / 0 |
Season 9 | 10 / 3 | 7 / 2 | 24 / 1 | 61 / 0 |
Season 10 | 19 / 5 | 14 / 4 | 31 / 4 | 63 / 0 |
Season 11 | 28 / 6 | 22 / 4 | 39 / 6 | 65 / 0 |
Season 12 (current) | 37 / 8 | 29 / 5 | 47 / 9 | 65 / 0 |
That's +0% to the progress of legendary cards, +8% progress to epic cards (and +4% to epic GF), +7% progress to rare cards (and +1% to the rare GF), and 9% progress to the common cards (and +2% to the common GF).
The strategy is still epic first, rare second, common third, legendary forth, until I max out a card from the first 3 rarities. Not enough Glint this time for additional progress on Legendary cards this season.
Here are the "before and after" snapshots for the Rebellion SB epic cards, which are my current main focus. "Before" first:
2 at level 4, 5 at level 3
And now the current levels of the epic cards...
My Rebellion SB epic cards: 6 at level 4, 1 at level 3.
This season, 4 cards were upgraded to level 4.
Perhaps a more relevant metric is the amount of Glint already spent compared to the total amount needed to max out the SB set (only regulars).
Here' s my situation:
8,790,000 Glint
Glint value of the cards collected so far (ignore GF and doubles):
** 4,702,000** Glint
Progress percentage:
53.49%
Estimated^ time to max out the RF cards (or GF, where possible):
11 more seasons (5.5 months, i.e. end-July)
^) estimation now includes tier advancement rewards (average last 3 seasons); estimation doesn't account for Glint wasted on pulling doubles of maxed out cards or GF instead of RF (where GF card level isn't high enough)
Last season's Glint value of cards collected: 4,371,400.
Difference: 330,600 Glint-worth of cards this season, including tier advancement rewards.
Season since New SB Set | Glint-Worth of Cards (including Tier Advancement Rewards) | Difference |
---|---|---|
Season 7 | 414,550 | - |
Season 8 | 368,400 | -46,150 Glint |
Season 9 | 328,850 | -39,550 Glint |
Season 10 | 388,350 | +59,700 Glint |
Season 11 | 446,250 | +57,900 Glint |
Season 12(current) | 330,600 | -115,650 Glint |
Last 3 seasons' average | 388,400 |

The new year Glint multiplier was really cool, I played so much this season. 😂
Yes, it was. 😀
Nice progress, im about 25% so a bit further to go! !BBH
Good luck on your progress! What do you focus on? What rarity?
I am currently just going through major chests as I have most things up to my summoner limits but once I have moved summoners up to gold level I’ll push on with the epics
!BBH
Yeah, chests are a good option too, for the extra energy and not only.
The Glint drop sucks, but I still think you are doing great. I wish I played more when the Glint bonus was there, but time has been tight.
Yeah, I should have bought some Energy then. It most likely would have been worth it. But my focus was elsewhere and Splinterlands was mostly on autopilot and didn't give it much thought.
Since the Conclave Arcana Reward Cards will take a few moths longer to launch than the April (based on previous launches), there is a good chance for you to be able to reach 100%. I should be able to complete Epic Set. I will fail at the others. I am currently giving low priority to Common + Rare. My reasoning is that buying them from market will be more affordable compared to Legendary Cards. Sometimes getting a Common or Rare Card only 1 Level higher is enough to be useful.
We will see. The pace will likely slow down at the end, when I'll start hitting doubles.
You are probably right. I'm sure you will probably be able to find a couple of common and rare cards at higher levels on the market later on, and probably at decent prices.
Having epic gold card means you get to earn more Glint and SPS when you deploy them, but the problem is that you'll want to use a higher level of the same standard version because of the extra advantages. Your epic sets is legendary lol and it's such a flex when you brandish them.
I definitely won't use the GF unless they are higher level or if the bonus at a higher level doesn't make a difference for a certain game. But normally, I will burn the GF cards that I won't max out at the end.
That makes sense. I think maxed out GFs are very profitable in terms of earning profits. Let's see if you get to max out that Olivia. I think you should be able to, you earn some decent Glints anyway.
It would be nice, but we'll see what my luck with RNG will be.
You are doing good. I'm happy with your progress
Thanks.
