Rebellion Soulbound: Couldn't Buy All Common Draws This Season, But Lucky on Chest Pulls
We are almost at the end of the ranked play season at Splinterlands, and it's time to see my progress on maxing out my Rebellion soulbound reward cards.
First remark... I didn't have enough Glint to buy all Epic + Rare + Common draws this season. Maybe there were poorer battle results...
However, I had exceptional luck on my tier advancement chests, where I got 3 legendary cards. That result more than compensates the lack of Glint to buy all Common draws this season. It's also true I haven't pulled a legendary card from those chests in a good while, so maybe it was about time, so to speak.
So, let's see what I did with the Glint this season.
I had no Glint to purchase more legendary draws this time around, but I was able to buy all 25 epic draws, 100 rare draws, and only 287 common draws. I no more Glint in my stash to use next season.
That makes it easy to see how much Glint I earned this season (including the season rewards from last season). That makes it a total of 305,550 Glint used for draw purchases this season (+0 remaining in my stash for a total of 305,550). Last season I had a total of 322,500 Glint in purchases. That means I spent 16,950 less Glint this season.
Let's keep a table too, going forward:
Season since New SB Set | Glint Used to Purchase Draws | Difference |
---|---|---|
Season 5 | 363,200 | |
Season 6 | 344,400 | -18,800 Glint |
Season 7 | 352,700 | +8,300 Glint |
Season 8 | 341,850 | -10,850 Glint |
Season 9 | 328,100 | -13,750 Glint |
Season 10 | 427,500 | +99,400 Glint |
Season 11 | 462,500 | +35,000 Glint |
Season 12 | 322,500 | -140,000 Glint |
Season 13 (current) | 305,550 | -16,950 Glint |
Last 3 seasons' average | 363,517 |
Let's see what my current situation of the Rebellion SB set completion progress is so far:
Season since New SB Set | Commons % | Rares % | Epics % | Legendaries % |
---|---|---|---|---|
Season 1 | 1 / 0 | 2 / 0 | 8 / 0 | 9 / 0 |
Season 2 | 2 / 1 | 2 / 0 | 9 / 0 | 17 / 0 |
Season 3 | 3 / 1 | 2 / 0 | 10 / 0 | 23 / 0 |
Season 4 | 5 / 2 | 3 / 1 | 12 / 0 | 27 / 0 |
Season 5 | 7 / 2 | 4 / 2 | 13 / 0 | 36 / 0 |
Season 6 | 8 / 3 | 5 / 2 | 15 / 0 | 42 / 0 |
Season 7 | 9 / 3 | 6 / 2 | 15 / 0 | 51 / 0 |
Season 8 | 10 / 3 | 7 / 2 | 17 / 0 | 58 / 0 |
Season 9 | 10 / 3 | 7 / 2 | 24 / 1 | 61 / 0 |
Season 10 | 19 / 5 | 14 / 4 | 31 / 4 | 63 / 0 |
Season 11 | 28 / 6 | 22 / 4 | 39 / 6 | 65 / 0 |
Season 12 | 37 / 8 | 29 / 5 | 47 / 9 | 65 / 0 |
Season 13 (current) | 44 / 9 | 37 / 5 | 54 / 11 | 67 / 0 |
That's +2% to the progress of legendary cards (thanks to the tier advancement chests), +7% progress to epic cards (and +2% to epic GF), +8% progress to rare cards (and +0% to the rare GF), and 7% progress to the common cards (and +1% to the common GF).
The strategy is still epic first, rare second, common third, legendary forth, until I max out a card from the first 3 rarities. Not enough Glint this time for additional progress on Legendary cards this season, not even to buy all common draws, but I did well on the tier advancement chests, where I pulled 3 legendary cards.
Here are the "before and after" snapshots for the Rebellion SB epic cards, which are my current main focus. "Before" first:
6 at level 4, 1 at level 3
And now the current levels of the epic cards...
My Rebellion SB epic cards: 1 at level 5, 5 at level 4, 1 at level 3.
This season, 1 (regular) epic card has been upgraded to level 5.
Perhaps a more relevant metric is the amount of Glint already spent compared to the total amount needed to max out the SB set (only regulars).
Here' s my situation:
8,790,000 Glint
Glint value of the cards collected so far (ignore GF and doubles):
** 5,109,400** Glint
Progress percentage:
58.12%
Estimated^ time to max out the RF cards (or GF, where possible):
10 more seasons (5 months, i.e. end-July)
^) estimation now includes tier advancement rewards (average last 3 seasons); estimation doesn't account for Glint wasted on pulling doubles of maxed out cards or GF instead of RF (where GF card level isn't high enough)
Last season's Glint value of cards collected: 4,702,000.
Difference: 407,400 Glint-worth of cards this season, including tier advancement rewards.
Season since New SB Set | Glint-Worth of Cards (including Tier Advancement Rewards) | Difference |
---|---|---|
Season 7 | 414,550 | - |
Season 8 | 368,400 | -46,150 Glint |
Season 9 | 328,850 | -39,550 Glint |
Season 10 | 388,350 | +59,700 Glint |
Season 11 | 446,250 | +57,900 Glint |
Season 12 | 330,600 | -115,650 Glint |
Season 13(current) | 407,400 | +76,800 Glint |
Last 3 seasons' average | 394,750 |

Nice one ma. Well even though you couldn’t grab all the commons, those 3 legendary pulls were a nice surprise. luck can sometimes balances things out for people.
I'm hoping the next season gives you even better Glint gains 🙏🙏 enjoy Thursday it's almost weekend too so 🥹 yaay I've survived the week
Yep, those were some great pulls for sure. I couldn't believe when I saw them one after the other, and all of them in the same chest reward batch, I think it was for advancing to CL3.
I'm sure you'll survive tomorrow too so that you can enjoy the week-end! 😉
Glad you got it and thanks man, I'll survive
nice job - before i sell the rest of my cards that are not soulbound i hope to max the Rebellion SB ones - not sure it works next season already.
For me, it still says Splinterlands is in maintenance.
I think the epics are the best of the reward cards, and they are the one worth to go first to level up, common are pretty meh
Yeah, I am focusing on epics first now. But started with legendary cards (until I maxed out my first one).
Congratulations on those legendary cards from the chests. I don't think I have seen one in my chests since the chest rewards got added back in. I think the commons will come eventually through the chest rewards so focusing on rare/epics sounds like a good choice.
At some point, they will switch to the new soulbound reward card set, and that means reward cards in chests too. It is a chase against the clock, mostly, to max out the set before they do.
You were very lucky with those legendary cards, congratulations.
Yes, I was. Very lucky, indeed! Thanks!
Your epic sets are looking scary. That level 3 Olivia will definitely take in more SPS reward if one had the choice to choose which cards they want to play and not the system automatically picking your highest level cards.
I have cards not close to max being played regularly, which means maybe level 3 Olivia doesn't perform very well in high Diamond, low Champion tiers. Or maybe it doesn't like the Mimic ability, which has a randomness in it, but it is also Olivia's best feature.
I think Olivia is that cards that does well surprisingly. I just felt that having a gold version earns you a better chances of getting more SPS. My point is that if you have a max level Olivia for example, the system will not deploy your gold version. Maybe I'm wrong.
Theoretically, they shouldn't be related, I think.
