1.5x Glint Bonus This Season and Its Effects
Only a few hours to the end of the season and it's time to see my progress on maxing out my Rebellion soulbound reward cards.
This season should have an exceptional result (even before checking) for two reasons:
- the Glint rewards have been boosted by 1.5x as a bonus because Splinterlands was voted as the 2nd best trading card game of 2024.
- I had an extra day of accumulation, since my previous update was one day before last season's end
The extra Glint rewards will improve next season's report too, through the additional season rewards.
I haven't reached CL2 which seems to be the new normal now. I'd better get used to the idea that my new top league will be CL3 for a while.
As I mentioned before, my new focus will start with the epic cards. I didn't know what else besides that I'll be able to buy this season. During this unusual season from the rewards standpoint, I was able to buy the full 1st badges of the epic, rare, and common draws, and a few legendary draws too. Maybe that will happen next season too, but we will see the season after that what the "normal" rewards would buy me every season.
I purchased 3 legendary draws this time around, all 25 epic draws, 100 rare draws, and 400 common draws. I still have 23,658 Glint in my stash to use next season.
That makes it easy to see how much Glint I earned this season (including the season rewards from last season). That makes it a total of 427,500 Glint used for draw purchases this season (+23,658 remaining in my stash for a total of 451,158). Last season I had a total of 328,100 Glint in purchases. That means I earned 123,058 more Glint this season. Remember! We are talking about a 1.5x Glint bonus throughout the season and an extra day from last season. Plus the season before this one was my worse so far in terms of Glint earnings.
Let's keep a table too, going forward:
Season since New SB Set | Glint Used to Purchase Draws | Difference |
---|---|---|
Season 5 | 363,200 | |
Season 6 | 344,400 | -18,800 Glint |
Season 7 | 352,700 | +8,300 Glint |
Season 8 | 341,850 | -10,850 Glint |
Season 9 | 328,100 | -13,750 Glint |
Season 10 (current) | 427,500 | +99,400 Glint |
Last 3 seasons' average | 365,816 |
Let's see what my current situation of the Rebellion SB set completion progress is so far:
Season since New SB Set | Commons % | Rares % | Epics % | Legendaries % |
---|---|---|---|---|
Season 1 | 1 / 0 | 2 / 0 | 8 / 0 | 9 / 0 |
Season 2 | 2 / 1 | 2 / 0 | 9 / 0 | 17 / 0 |
Season 3 | 3 / 1 | 2 / 0 | 10 / 0 | 23 / 0 |
Season 4 | 5 / 2 | 3 / 1 | 12 / 0 | 27 / 0 |
Season 5 | 7 / 2 | 4 / 2 | 13 / 0 | 36 / 0 |
Season 6 | 8 / 3 | 5 / 2 | 15 / 0 | 42 / 0 |
Season 7 | 9 / 3 | 6 / 2 | 15 / 0 | 51 / 0 |
Season 8 | 10 / 3 | 7 / 2 | 17 / 0 | 58 / 0 |
Season 9 | 10 / 3 | 7 / 2 | 24 / 1 | 61 / 0 |
Season 10 (current) | 19 / 5 | 14 / 4 | 31 / 4 | 63 / 0 |
That's +2% to the progress of legendary cards, +7% progress to epic cards (and +3% to epic GF), +7% progress to rare cards (and +3% to the rare GF), and 9% progress to the common cards (and +2% to the common GF).
The strategy is still epic first, rare second, common third, legendary forth, until I max out a card from the first 3 rarities. On the legendary cards, I was lucky to not pull a double among the 3 draws purchased, but I already have 2 other cards at 10/11 BCX.
Here are the "before and after" snapshots for the Rebellion SB epic cards, which are my current main focus. "Before" first:
5 at level 3, 3 at level 2
And now the current levels of the epic cards...
My Rebellion SB epic cards: 1 at level 4, 5 at level 3, 1 at level 2.
This season one card was upgraded to level 4, and 2 of them moved up to level 3.
Perhaps a more relevant metric is the amount of Glint already spent compared to the total amount needed to max out the SB set (only regulars).
Here' s my situation:
8,790,000 Glint
Glint value of the cards collected so far (ignore GF and doubles):
3,925,150 Glint
Progress percentage:
44.65%
Estimated^ time to max out the RF cards (or GF, where possible):
14 more seasons (7 months, i.e. mid-August)
^) estimation now includes tier advancement rewards (average last 3 seasons)
Last season's Glint value of cards collected: 3,536,800.
Difference: 388,350 Glint-worth of cards this season, including tier advancement rewards.
Season since New SB Set | Glint-Worth of Cards (including Tier Advancement Rewards) | Difference |
---|---|---|
Season 7 | 414,550 | - |
Season 8 | 368,400 | -46,150 Glint |
Season 9 | 328,850 | -39,550 Glint |
Season 10 (current) | 388,350 | +59,700 Glint |
Last 3 seasons' average | 361,867 |
There is likely an error with season 9 tracked numbers.

nice one - i am also trying to raise my SB cards - given my former maxed deck across all edition has gone :-) - At least i got to CL3
Why is your deck gone? You mean you sold it?
Of course :-) - made no sense to keep all my apha/beta and rwal old cards, at least i have a bit SPS stakes and licenses
Well, I hope you sold at a good time/price.
probably too late but who knows :-)
Anything beyond 2021 is... too late, lol. Maybe we are around a bottom and we'll have a slow earning model, but one that would generate a profit instead of a loss. I'd be fine with that.
True, do not remind me of looking a value around 2021 - but old cards lost too much value sicne modern/wild implementation and certain "movements" - hence i am fine with all - i still have too many land plots though which i do not use
The important thing is to continue increasing Glint little by little, congratulations on that amount of Glint!!!
Thanks! The 1.5x Glint bonus the team offered for last season helped a lot, or I wouldn't have reached such amounts.

Hi @gadrian!
Is there any way to transfer vouchers from the game to Hive Engine?
Not directly, as far as I know. I suppose you can purchase a promo card with vouchers (the exclusive kind, that can only be purchased with vouchers), and try to sell it on the market, if that's what you want. But I don't think that would be a good value per voucher spent. Probably better if you buy the card to use it, if you need it, or wait for another one.
Ah, I didn't realize there was a Glint boost. I did notice that I was getting more rewards when I was fighting a few days ago and I guess that was the reason why.
Yes, it was a little mention in Discord some time ago. I haven't done anything different, although, under the circumstances, probably it would have been better to buy some energy and play more. Too late for that now...
I didn't know that, so it was a pleasant surprise to see more GLINT tokens!!! On my way to buy some draws and hopefully, level up some cards!! 😃
Yep, they mentioned it in Discord somewhere at the end of 2024. Good luck with your draws!
