Splinterlands Battle Of The Week: Slowest team possible
The Ruleset

- Rulesets - Fire & Regret
- Mana Cap - 45
- Active Elements -
Here's my starting lineup
Summoner: Immortalis

- With the ruleset and element pick that I got I instantly knew what I was going to play and that was Immortalis
- Main reasons were that I just generally have the best team in earth element and for second because ranged monsters were almost out of the pool Void was going to deal with my enemy playing magic monsters, Shatter was for my enemy playing armor as I wanted to play some melee monsters and also -1hp is just a simple great debuff for my enemies whole team
- Void - 50% less damage (rounded up) from magic attacks or 0 damage from magic attacks of 1 power
- Shatter - Successful attacks destroy the target's armor
1st Position: Mycelic Infantry

- Mycelic Infantry was my main tanks for this battle
- Main reason I like Mycelic Infantry here a lot is his Shield ability
- Also paired my Immortalis as my summoner, Mycelic Infantry was going to have both Shield and Void which meant he was going to take a half damage from every attack type possible
- Shield - 50% less damage (rounded up) from physical attacks or 0 damage from physical attacks of 1 power
2nd Position: Bramble Pixie

- Bramble Pixie was here only because he was the last monster who I picked and I only had 7 mana left and no one better to play
- For 7 mana his stats are quite bad mainly because he is only level 1
- Reach - Can use melee attacks from the second position
3rd Position: Mycelic Slipspawn

- Mycelic Slipspawn was my secondary tank in a way
- Because of his Taunt ability all of my enemies backline attack would go to him and at 11hp Mycelic Slipspawn would be able to tank at least couple of them
- Taunt - Draws the attacks of enemy units. Does not affect Reach, Scattershot, Wingbreak, or enemy units in the first position
- Forcefield - Attacks dealing 5 base damage or more instead deal 1 damage
4th Position: Mushroom Seer

- Next up in line is possible the best monster you could play when paired with Immortalis as the summoner
- That because of his ability which lowers enemy magic damage and therefor makes 2 magic damage monster deal 0 damage
- Silence - -1 magic power to all enemy units
5th Position: Wood Nymph

- Wood Nymph was my first healer for this team
- Even tho his stats kinda suck for 4 mana even in my rank I still like him a lot just because of his Tank Heal ability
- Tank Heal - Each round, restores 1/3 of max health (rounded down) to the allied unit in the first position
6th Position: Goblin Psychic

- And for last but not least was my second healer for this team Goblin Psychic
- He is my favorite healer out of the ones I own as for 6 mana you get decent stats the Tank Heal ability and also the Affliction ability which counters enemy healers
- Also because I had a Taunt monster on board I felt safe to play two weak healers in the backline
- Tank Heal - Each round, restores 1/3 of max health (rounded down) to the allied unit in the first position
- Affliction - 50% chance to apply Afflicted after a successful attack. Afflicted units cannot be healed
Starting board

- Already after seeing the starting board I was confident I would win because I managed to counter my enemy almost 100%
- The only damage I was going to take was 2 melee from his Reach monster which I was going to outheal even with one healer and the second was the 1 melee damage from his Sneak monster to my Taunt which gave me a 11 round time window before he was even able to start taking down my other monster
- That said I somehow managed to play almost the slowest team possible with the exception of my monster who was going to have 2 speed
- But even with that in mind the most my enemy was going to achieve was a long battle so lets start it up and have a look how I did
Here's how the battle went
1st & 2nd Round

- After first two rounds the board was still looking quite the same as in the start
- I had only managed to take down his Djinn Oshannus as his speed was quite high compared to mine
- My monsters where still standing strong with only 2 damage to my Mycelic Slipspawn
3rd & 4th Round

- Next two round came and went quite fast
- In that time I took down the next two enemy monsters while my squad was still stand the same as in the start
- possible two more rounds to go so lets make one more stop before the end screen
5th Round

- The 5th round was already a clean up round for me
- I took down two more enemy monsters leaving him with a single last monster
- Now I just needed to wait for the start of the next and last round and then face my victory
6th Round

- It took me 3 attacks to kill my enemies last standing monster
- After his Captain Fellblade had fallen I took the victory

Summary
- This battle was definitely heavily one sided but still fun to watch
- The strategy to take away from this battle is the Immortalis Void and Mushroom Seer Silence combo
- As you just saw even speed does not matter at that point anymore as your enemy just cant damage you
