First Time Getting Conclave Arcana Reward Cards!!

Welcome to my Splinterlands post, Usually I write about Splinterlands during my weekends however today is special. Today is the first day which I have opportunity to buy the new reward cards, the reward cards that are bound to Conclave Arcana edition. So I would not wait anymore, I am going to get them today, right now!

Honestly seeing those skins make me eager to buy them, however I must discipline myself to follow my building plan. I want to build up my deck, getting new cards, leveling up them... Spending for cosmetics should be put a side first. They are good, maybe great, but that is what I want, not what I need right now LoL

Anyway It's up to you whether you want to buy them or not. Personally I think they are great and would give you some boost up mood during the battle. However, like I have said before, I need to do other first.

After the last update, we can not buy Gold Foil cards directly anymore. Everything must come from those draws. The prices are slightly adjusted, not the same, but not has been changed significantly, except for Legendary Draw.

If you ask me what to buy for the best, I would say it would be the bottom right one, the Ultimate Chest. That is the best in term of value, however it is not what I am looking for right now. I need new cards, so I will pick one of those four above.

I will go for the Rare Draw. I believe my Glints are enough to buy all of them in the first batch.

However... Yes there is a however here. I need to consume 500 Alchemy Potions here. It seems 1 rare card will ask for 5 potions per boost for maximal effect. I only have 180 alchemy potions here, so I can not get maximal boost for the Gold Foil rate.

I am a Gold Foil Fray players in Brawl, so only Gold Foils that are matter for me. I do not wish to gamble on a smallest odds, so I have decided to get some Alchemy Potions now.

And this is the first time I see this change on Alchemy Potion purchase window. I have never bought Alchemy Potion before, all this time I get them from the loot chests.

It seems I will get an extra 10% bonus if I bought 500 potions, and I will get an extra 15% bonus for the 2500 potions one. However my glints are limited, they are not something I could get easily regarding I am not one of the top competitive players.

I decide to go with 500 potions, which cost me 46.000 Glints. It is the most reasonable one, however I would not have the Glints I need to buy a whole batch of Rare cards anymore.

So I will be reasonable here, I am going with the whole batch of Common Draw. I am still able to buy whole first batch, 400 cards, for 120.000 Glints point.

I learn something new here, one ommon card can only be boosted by one Alchemy Potion here. So the maximum odds for a Gold Foil is 2% only.

I bought 400 cards just now, and with 2% Gold Foil chance, I could get around 8 Common Gold Foil cards. So here are the cards:

You are not thinking I will discuss one by one, aren't you? That would be dumb because it will make me write for 10k words here lol. I will try to be brieft here, so let's see what I have got now.

My Selection

We do not need to scroll up and see one by one, all what we need to do is coming to our cards selection and check for the Conclave Arcana Reward cards edition. This is the first time I buy them, so everything on this part comes from zero.

I check my Gold Foil selection and I looks like I only have 6 Gold Foil cards now. I should have got 8 cards, so I am missing 2 cards here. Well they are not missing, but its more like I have a bad luck so I get less Gold Foils than I should have got.

Well I know I could not win everytime, sometime we need to lose like this, through bad luck lol. So let see if some of them are interesting ones.

Coral Forged, an interesting name. I think this card is a decent one, not too bad. He has a flank ability, which enable him to bring another good secondary melee tank behind him. He has fury ability too, which I can not understand why a melee tank should have it.

In general I am far from being impressed by this card. We have commander slade and that T-rex skunk before, those two are better than this one. So I think I will be rarely using this cards for some time being. Maybe later after they introduced new core edition and rebellion going to wild, this card might be better.

The second one, which I get her directly 2 copies and I have combined them into level4, is Husk of The Hunter. I think I like this card, she hits hard, has armors and two good abilities. Sneak Attack and Headwinds.

I do not think I will be using her regularly, but I have already got some idea what to do with her, which ruleset and what kind of meta I could develop using her or exploit her prowess.

A beautiful name, Palimpsest Prophet. This card in general is useless, far from his name. However I like this card a lot, because I think during specific ruleset such as little league and earthquake, he will be very useful.

This is not a card that build up your meta or become a core unit, but it is a good one for filler, or to strengthen your core set.

This one is already giving me a headache. Grim Bonewhip is a good card which he has a rust ability. My problem with him, is quite many... He is in between of everything.

He has one speed, which he might be excell during reverse speed only. Other than that, expect him to keep missing his target. There are other better reach melee units than him, so I keep thinking should I believe in him or not.

You might try to encourage me, showing that later on he will have swiftness ability that makes all his team mates and himself getting faster. That should be great but it could not be great at all. Why would you speed up someone who already slow lol.

The last one is Ironwing Juggernaut. He is a decent melee unit, which might be great during little league ruleset. However I do not like his weary ability, it is an ability that degrade yourself to avoid being overpowered.

Not saying he is bad, but it is more like he is not my type of units

I still have many regular foil cards here, but I won't discuss them at all. Again I say this, I am a Gold Foil players so I would not be content by having a good set of regular foil. I will try my best avoid talking about them, let other players take that part.
