Calibrating Scratching and Tweaking My Deck Again

Hello Fellow Splinterlands Summoners

How are you today? I hope you all are feeling well, and you can enjoy playing Splinterlands. I had some bad days last week and I could not work well, so this week even I have got better, I have to pay what I have been missing and lacking in works. So I do not play Splinterlands everyday this week.

With less time on Splinterlands, I prefer to do something else rather than thinking about getting as many Glints and as many SPS rewards from the battles. I want to look out from what I have been lacking recently, and it is a brawl performance.

I used to be a very good players on Silver League Gold Foil Frays, but it seems I am not that good anymore. My performance has dropped a lot. Maybe I have become a dumb player lol.

Well the fact is not because I have became dumb. I always say that I am a casual player and I do not spend big in this game. I tend to keep the minimum cards, which is the modern format edition cards. When we had Conclave Arcana edition released, I sold some of my old cards and used it to buy Rebellion and Conclave Arcana set.

The result of that action is good for the modern rank battles, but it reduces my Brawl Performance. Gold Foil Fray in Brawl doesn't know Modern Format edition. All Gold Foil frays are wild. We play all kind of cards here. When I let go some of my old edition, that's the point where I actually downgrade myself in the brawl.

That's why this season I have decided to get into the Wild Format. It is not because it is more profitable or easier to play, it's just I need to test my deck against other players, even if it means I have to fight those bots.

I know that I would not get enough time to play Splinterlands this season, so rather than thinking about getting as many rewards, I prefer to grind my self up when I have the time. I want to know which cards I need to push up, which edition and how much should I reinvest again to shape up my deck.

As the result, I have lost badly in my early first few days this season. I had a long losing straight, as you can see above all my name is written in red. I dropped from Silver 3 to Silver 1 in a day lol.

However from a few long losing strike, I learn a few things that I believe those are what I am really lacking of. The first thing is my summoners. I do not have vast selection of summoners, this is my biggest challenge actually. With low leveled summoners, I had difficulty against people with max level summoners, or at least Gold level cap summoners. Majority of the battles were already decided before it started, because the level gap were too big.

The second one is the lack of Epics and Legendaries. This is not something crucial in Modern Format, but in Wild Format this is fatal. There are many great units with Epic and Legendary rarity, without them, the gap between me and my opponent is already too big and nothing else I could do. Especially when I met people with Legendary Summoners. I could say it was almost a guarantee to lose one.

Anyway the battles I had done before in this Wild Format, I did not rent in any cards from the market. I wanted to gauge my owned cards, so I saw no necessity for renting. Maybe next season if I want to be more serious and get back to the tournaments mode, I will rent cards.

As I say that, I have a plan to prolong my stay on the wild format for another season. However this is not yet to be set, regarding this season we still have 9 more days. One thing I know, Wild Format rewards are awful, Modern Format gives better lol.

I think that's what I want to share in today post. Thank you for your visit here. See you in Splinterlands Rank Battles!!!
