¡Saludos comunidad!

1.png

Let's talk about the set of rules present in battle. This is the starting point for the analysis that will lead us to the most appropriate choice for facing battle.

The mana limit is 17 points, which allows us to choose archons with a mana cost between 4 and 7 points. However, it is very important to use the remaining mana wisely to choose the right units.

Born Again is a rule that grants the “Rebirth” ability to all units. On the other hand, Broken Arrows does not allow the use of ranged units. Meanwhile, Rise of the Commons only allows the use of common and rare units.

So, taking all these aspects into account, I decided to use the Water Splinter, as it has units with good stats, including a good melee attack. It also has abilities such as Trample, Bloodlust, Opportunity, among others, and an anchor that increases the team's speed and armor by 1 point.

Equipo y estrategia

2.png

English

Greetings, community! In this week's challenge, I want to share with you an analysis of my experience using a strategy with Water Splinter. I consider this an excellent option for games with a low mana limit and with the “Rise of the Commons” and “Born Again” rules. It is important to remember that the type of offense to use in our strategies will also depend on the other rules present in the battle.

This time, I'll show you how I approached a Silver league Brawl battle in the Wild format, focusing my analysis on explaining how I used Water Splinter, Archon Kelya Frendul, and the units Diemonshark, Isgald Vorst, and Hardy Stonefish to be consistent with the battle rules and the abilities I wanted to combine in order to take advantage of the game with the proposed strategy.

These aspects are a key factor with a considerable impact on the performance of our strategies.

Rulesets and choise

Team and strategy

2.png

Let's talk about the team and the strategy it forms. Given the circumstances, it was obvious that melee and magic attacks would be used. That's why I decided to use Archon Kelya Frendul, as she increases the team's speed and armor by 1 point.

Diemonshark took the top spot this time, as he has the appropriate stats for it. Among these, his armor, health, and speed points stand out. In addition, he has the “Trample” ability, which allows him to make better use of his attacks by taking down another unit.

Isgald Vorst is key to the strategy, as his “Bloodlust” ability has the potential to significantly increase his stats. Furthermore, the fact that this ability works in conjunction with “Opportunity” makes him even more dangerous.

Finally, Hardy Stonefish acts as bait for possible enemy Sneak or Opportunity attacks.

I find this battle rule interesting, especially when combined with low mana capacity. It forces us to think carefully about both the archons and the units to choose, and it is in these circumstances that slightly underrated strategies and cards, such as Hardy Stonefish, come to the fore.

Strategy in action

3.png

As I mentioned earlier, choosing Archon Kelya Frendul and the units Diemonshark, Isgald Vorst, and Hardy Stonefish was a good choice. However, it is also important to include support abilities that allow our tank and the rest of the team to withstand enough damage.

Notice how, by turn 1 of round 6, the enemy team was almost defeated. Diemonshark and Isgald Vorst controlled the battle flawlessly. Similarly, Hardy Stonefish fulfilled his objective as planned.

Conclusion

The proposed strategy made efficient use of the available mana, covering aspects such as resistance to enemy damage, team support, a strong offense, and consistency with the current set of rules.

One weakness of this strategy is an enemy team that is resistant to melee attacks and includes abilities such as: “Shield,” “Tank Heal,” “Heal,” “Triage,” “Amplify,” “Protect,” “Repair,” “Demoralize,” “Thorns,” among others.

The difference between the strategies was that the enemy units did not have enough resistance to withstand my offensive attacks.

For our strategies to work properly, it is important to consider all aspects involved, so we must not only focus on the statistics and skills to combine. We must also take into account the influence of the rule sets on the strategy.

This has been my contribution to the weekly challenge. I hope you enjoyed it! Cheers, and see you next week!
