Zyrx the Emberglace is one of my new favorite monsters in Splinterlands. Alone, he can decimate and entire team. His abilities are well thought and everything was made with purpose. I really love the synergy of each of herability and him alone makes hera very interesting monster.

Zyrx the Embeglace was born from both a fire dragon and a water dragon. She burns and freezes at the same time giving her a mix of power. When Portia Nyr asked her to join the Conclave Arcana, Zyrx the Emberglace didn’t think twice. She swept across Praetoria like a real threat that never ends.

With 10 mana cost, 7 armor, 10 health, and 4 speed, she’s tough, fast, and hits like a truck with her two damage types, a mix of magic and melee. Her 2 magic and 5 melee damage makes her dangerous no matter where she stands. Add Flying, Incendiary, Charge, Execute and Bloodlust and you’ve got a monster that can destroy a whole enemy team solo.

However, while I can go on and on on how strong he is alone, Zyrx the Emberglace is still more worth herand more interesting when you make a team that can enhance heralready overpowered kit.

Ability Combos

Flying x Dodge
Zyrx the Emberglace already avoids Earthquake damage thanks to Flying, but pairing her with Dodge makes her even harder to hit. The added evasion can keep her more which means she can deal more damage as well.. Every missed attack becomes another chance for her to wipe the enemy board.

Incendiary x Painforge
Incendiary burns enemies each round, and Painforge turns that burn into bonus damage. The two create a cycle of destruction where every tick of fire fuels Zyrx the Emberglace’s power. It’s a perfect example of turning a debilitation into an advantage.

Charge x Inspire
Charge lets Zyrx the Emberglace attack from any position while always focusing on the front line. Inspire ability enhances her melee damage, making those constant attacks deadlier. With added melee damage from Inspire, that boosts her other abilities like Execute and Bloodlust achieving like a perfect harmony.

Execute x Swiftness
Execute does another attack when the target monster gets to 2 health. While the magic damage does not miss, it's low enough that if the opponent has Void, the opponent's monster might survive. Therefore, you need the melee attack as well. Swiftness increases the monster's Speed which also increases the chance Zyrx the Emberglace does not miss the attack.

Bloodlust x Opportunity
Each kill feeds Zyrx the Emberglace’s Bloodlust, but Opportunity ensures she gets those kills faster. She can hunt down low-health enemies and snowball into a monster with massive stats. Once she starts gaining momentum, there’s rarely a way to stop her.

Strategy and Synergies

Compatibility with Flank (with Ulundin Overseer)
Zyrx the Emberglace fits perfectly behind a high-health tank like Ulundin Overseer. With Flank, she gets Reach ability that allow her to attack from the second position while Ulundin Overseer absorbs hits. This combo keeps her protected while maintaining offensive pressure every round.

Compatibility with Blast (with Nidhoggr)
Blast amplifies Zyrx the Emberglace’s dual attack potential. With both melee and magic damage, she also does twice the Blast per round. Pairing her with Nidhoggr turns the field into a very dangerous field for your opponents.

Compatibility with Painforge (with Shadowfey Sheik)
Shadowfey Sheik’s Painforge and Life Leech pair beautifully with Zyrx the Emberglace’s Incendiary. As enemies burn from Incendiary, Painforge raises Shadowfey Sheik's damage while Life Leech gets higher heals the higher the damage she has. This keeps Shadowfey Sheik alive longer. It’s a partnership that thrives in long, punishing battles.

Best Modifiers for Zyrx the Emberglace

No Pain No Gain turns Zyrx the Emberglace’s Incendiary debilitation into a weapon. The miodifier gives every monster Painforge, making her burning effect increase her own damage while harming your allies. Each round of burn becomes an extra source of damage, pushing her offense higher the longer the fight goes.

Earthquake favors Zyrx the Emberglace since she naturally has the Flying ability. While other monsters take damage every round, she stays undamaged by the Earthquake modifier. Combined with her speed and armor, this lets her evade a lot of opponents as well.

Heavy Hitters also works well because of her double damage. Once a target gets stunned by an ally, Zyrx the Emberglace’s attacks now do double damage and that includes the Execute ability. It’s a rule that rewards her aggressive style and ensures nothing survives at low health.
